  1. Sheesh. I'm sorry you've been so sick! I'm glad you're back to semi-human again! Yes, I can relate to that. I was thinking about this last night, when I do get better, it will be hard to transition back into life for me. I went from studying/working almost 24/7 to no school at all. I guess finding the balance will be key. And, all of our...
  2. Thanks! I'm excited about vacation! :D It will be lots of fun! I just hope if I do go on IV abx, (we are going to talk about it again at my next appt.) it will be manageable to fly, etc. with all of that. It sure is hard to make plans while sick...you never know what is going to happen. Yes, it is great to face my emotions! I am very happy I did...
  3. Rachel, I always used to get an rx for abx for before I would go to the dentist. I have heart issues, so that's why they did it. I never actually took the abx because my parents never remembered to fill the rx. But every time I'd go, they'd ask me if I took my abx and I'd have to lie and say yes. He could have been worried because of the amount...
  4. I've been pretty good. I've been going through a lot emotionally...working on things from a LONG time ago, so I have been kinda overwhelmed. Everything kinda really hit me about being sick and not going to school and not living a "normal" teen life. There is one particular thing that I didn't realize was such a big deal for me and it is really starting...
  5. Yes, please do let me know.
  6. Are you aware that most oats contain gluten? I don't know what to say, as I'm trying to figure this one out myself...but I can have rice. So I'll bring rice crackers, but there are CC problems, etc.
  7. I think that is the most offensive website EVER! They are just horrible. Ugh. Julie, when you posted about the LEAP allergy tests, I googled it and I didn't realize I somehow ended up on Quack Watch, and I was wondering why this site was bashing it so badly. Yea, that's so funny. I talked to a fellow Lyme friend who also sees Dr Amy and she...
  8. That's SO funny! I wonder too... We are trying to get in to see a Nutritionist who is also a chiropractor who does muscle testing. Since she is a licensed Nutritionist, it should be covered by insurance which would make it affordable. Hopefully I can get some things tested.
  9. I haven't heard of this specific test. I know a lot of people are very against allergy/intolerance tests. My LLMD suggested we do them next time I see him because it might help to alleviate some of my symptoms. I know that having lots of intolerances is NOT normal, BUT if they help relieve symptoms for a while until we fix the leaky gut, etc. that is causing...
  10. It might be the flu. I think I have had a touch of it because I have had diarrhea out of nowhere and nausea. Although, that could be a new supplement I'm taking. But it has been lingering for a while. The hardest part with all of this is trying to figure out what is what. Is it Lyme or the flu? I think give it a little longer and if you're still feeling...
  11. Thanks Patti. I will try that one.
  12. Jersey Angel, Which one did you get a trial size of? There are so many different kinds it's amazing! I'm confused.
  13. I need a multi vitamin that is gluten and soy free without iron. I have a VERY sensitive stomach so I need something that is easy on my stomach and easy to digest. Any suggestions? Thanks.
  14. I use a Lola foundation brush. I use it because I apply my foundation wet and it works great for wet foundation.
  15. I agree with the whole Dr thing, as far as finding a Dr other than your LLMD. My LLMD's office said I needed to see my PCP for something and well, my PCP thinks Lyme doesn't exist in CA! Needless to say, I'm not going back to him. So that leaves us looking for another Dr and we think we found one who is very open minded and into alternative stuff, but still...
  16. You know me well Carla!
  17. I'd start the gluten free diet! Good luck! Ask lots of questions here on this site...it's the best around!
  18. Paula, I'm glad your court day is over. That sounds very stressful.
  19. For a bacterial overgrowth, generally antibiotics are given by a "western" Dr. There are more alternative ways to treat those kinds of things, but I don't really know about them. Others will come along and give you their advice, I'm sure. About the adrenals, again, I don't really know. I am being tested for that right now, so I have no experience with...
  20. I didn't see you're from New Zealand! I used to live there! Even though you had the tick removed, you could still have Lyme. I do suggest if you have lots of the symptoms, that you get tested. I believe that multiple food intolerances is you bodies way of telling you something is wrong. It's not right to not be able to eat lots of foods. Lyme can be an...
  21. Paula, I can so relate to the foundation thing. I still haven't figured out which foundation I like. Also, with my lovely health, some days I'm really pale and some days I have nice color, so I need like 5 different colors. What a bummer! I actually have a huge train case from Sephora, but it's in New Zealand, so I'm trying to get my dad/stepmom...
  22. I'm so sorry to hear this. Sending hugs and positive thoughts your way.
