  1. Yes, I know for a fact that licorice contains gluten. I was glutened badly once by licorice...I assumed it was safe.
  2. Ugh, we have to wait until April 25th! I thought it was going to be March 15th!
  3. Sherry, I don't know if I would test poorly for Mepron because she seems to have an issue with prescription drugs. It's a good question. I am not really too worried about what she said because I really trust my LLMD and his NP. I will take into consideration some of the things she said, but I'm not going to stop taking Mepron or Zith because I didn't test...
  4. LOL! I think they have to be refridgerated, hence the overnight shipping thing. It's so expensive its kinda crazy, but lots of things that need to be cold (B12 shots) cost less than the shipping!
  5. I sent out the email update from my appt today.
  6. Happy Birthday Carla!
  7. The actual test strips are not that expensive, but the shipping is $45! :o
  8. Open Original Shared Link is the link. Paula, I don't think I still have your email, can you PM it to me? Thanks!
  9. Yes, you will find that the Lyme political arena is HORRIBLE and VERY controversial! If you are worried about talking to a Dr about celiac, LOL....good luck with Lyme! (Not saying you are worried about talking about Celiac or Lyme, but...) Drs don't believe chronic Lyme exists.
  10. I sent it to you, just now. Let me know if you didn't get it. Everyone, I am going to the muscle testing lady tomorrow morning. I am just wondering...what if I test poorly for something like Mepron which is such a huge part of my treatment protocol? I guess I will just have to see how I test for things. I will probably send out another update...
  11. Your iron is low, but it needs to be interpreted by your age, height, weight, sex, etc. For ME, my ferritin should be around 100 for me to feel "good." This is what my hematologist said anyway. He also told me to take ferrous gluconate to help, but I could NOT tolerate it, and my ferritin was at zero, so I had iron IV's. No amount of oral iron would have...
  12. Joni...if you want to PM me you can, but how low is your ferritin? And, WW mentioned B12 shots, I agree. I do them 2x a week. Sorry for being off topic!
  13. Are you taking charcoal or chlorella? Those both might help. I'm sorry you're going through this.
  14. Nyxie, Hold on for your Mepron herx if you end up taking it. They're really rough! I'm on a really low dose and I still herx pretty hard! I'm glad your appt went well though.
  15. This brand Lavera, is a toxin free company. My Lyme dr suggested that I use their products. I emailed them about the gluten status, and all of their products are gluten free! (Not to mention, they emailed me back in literally 15 minutes!) I am totally excited to use something that I know is gluten free, and that is toxin free! So many products...
  16. Lizard, I can't really answer lots of your questions, but I can tell you that most Dr's are VERY unwilling to consider testing for Lyme. I don't know if most insurance pays for Igenex...mine didn't, but it was terrible insurance. If I were you, I'd call Igenex and have them ship you a kit, then bring it to your Dr and have her sign it and send the blood...
  17. Uh oh Paula. I hope you feel better soon!
  18. I sent out the email update. PM me your email address if you didn't get it and would like to read it.
  19. My appt went well. I will write up an email soon, and I'll let everyone know when I send it. Some things are not so great, but he is really an amazing Dr. He gave me a lecture, LOL! It was so funny. He noticed my mom was in the waiting room, and asked if I wanted her to come in and I said no, and he laughed. I said it was more comfortable for me without...
  20. I do B12 shots for energy because I have Lyme disease and I get really fatigued very easily. When I first started them, I felt a lot better. So, I would suggest you try them. They don't hurt much at all either.
  21. I'm going to offer a different point of view...I am 17 years old. I went gluten-free last year because I was SO sick that I didn't care what I ate or didn't eat. It is NOT that big of a deal once you get used to it. It is very overwhelming at first when you start this, and as a teen, we are out without our parents a lot, so we really feel like we are...
  22. I hope it goes well! I actually asked my mom to not go into the room with me for my appt later today because I have decided I need to be able to have my appt with him and not be worried about what my mom thinks when I say something personal. (She's not very happy, but there is a reason for patient/dr confidentiality).
  23. I'm giving a warning to my post--this is just my opinion! (Take what you like and leave the rest ) I don't really think Fibro is a real disease/syndrome. There is no test for it. Having chronic pain indicates something else is going on. I think people need to look deeper at what might be going on and what is causing this pain. I think Lyme disease...
  24. Awww. I'm so sorry to hear that! I hope they can get you out of pain soon!
  25. Thank you for all your replies! I will let the mom know that your kids have had vomiting issues. I feel so bad for the little boy. He is so sweet, but seems to get sick so often! I don't know if his vomiting is projectile...I've never had to babysit when he is sick, thank goodness! But his mom said that he is having diarrhea and she can see almost...
