  1. I looked there...not there. What is the subject?
  2. LOL! A freak! That's funny! Donna, When I actually *do* get my periods, I am bed-ridden and don't want to eat, drink, talk or anything. I hate them too! Ugh, and the cramps. Makes me glad I haven't had one since August. Everyone, So I think this silly thread is why I never can get any hwk done! LOL! I seemingly think "uh oh, what if I missed...
  3. Carla, I am wondering, the lady I talked about a while ago who tested positive for Lyme years ago, her periods are really bad. Well, around the time of the time of the month, she gets bad "meningitis flares"...isn't that also suggestive of Lyme? Julie, I wonder what my LLMD will say about the ecoffee. I have a REALLY sensitive system, so I wonder...
  4. Paula, Yea, I wouldn't post it here. Do it through PM. I'll PM you. I'd like the link.
  5. I wanted to agree with the poster who said your tastes change. I had been peanut free for a long time, and I was just craving PB SO badly, but since it's not a great fat, I didn't eat it. Then the other day I allowed myself some and YUCK! I don't know what I wanted so badly! Now, I am so used to almond butter I don't care about PB...never thought I'd say...
  6. You can look into Enterolab, they do stool testing. They can't diagnose Celiac, but they can tell you whether your body is reacting to gluten, casein and they test a couple other things too if you want. If you don't care about an actual diagnosis, that is your best bet. If he was on a gluten-free, cf diet for a while, the tests you're going to have run...
  7. OMG, I just realized what the 6wbmo is...6 Week Body Make-ever!!!! I was so confused! I think it's a great plan. And, it's a health diet. My friend is doing a special K diet right now and I laughed at her because it is so ridiculous. Yes, you can have low ferritin and not be anemic...that's my problem. Well, all of my other iron numbers get low, except...
  8. I wish we had ski club!!!! That doesn't happen in S. CA, lol. It was 75 here today, I was bummed because I had a cute outfit planned with my new rain boots...lol.
  9. Carla, I don't know...the nurse just called to let us know about the results. She is going to get a phone consult set up so they can start treatment! She said that she is going to mark it as urgent because she thinks "he needs to start treating right away!" (her words) I have heard babs herxes are really hard. I have a Lyme friend and she is always...
  10. So maybe she didn't give me a long enough course of abx Carla? I wouldn't be surprised...she was an idiot!
  11. Carla, I think LN is down. Not sure though, but it just keeps loading and loading. I love to rollerblade, but not too fond of rollerskating. That sounds like fun though! Everyone, Dr H's office called about 20 min ago to say I tested positive for Babesia! YAY!!! Well, not yay like I'm glad I have it, but yay that we are finding out more and more...
  12. You could try hemp milk for your son. I was tree nut intolerant for a while and I love hemp milk now. Also, Trader Joe's or Whole Foods brands of rice milk are gluten free...not .2% or whatever of barley. Hope that helps, and it will get easier.
  13. Donna, I think they're primarily Pilates/Stretching type stuff. It got great reviews on Amazon, so I was thinking of buying it. I got an amazon gift card for the Holidays, so this way I don't really have to pay. I was thinking that 10 minutes is more than I can handle, but I can work up to it. Then if I DO finish 10 minutes one day, I can feel like...
  14. I have been reading along with your makeup "cult" and I decided to post (although I thought I posted a while ago but now I can't find it...). I use presvriptives and I have no idea if it's gluten-free or not...never bothered to check. I ordered a little sample kit of this stuff a while ago, used it once and didn't like it, so I stopped. BUT, I don...
  15. My Dr. also told me the same thing....stupid GI docs! My question is, what could cause it other than celiac disease? I am gluten-free and have been, but still have this problem sometimes.
  16. I don't take any oral b-12 either because I can't find one without all the stuff in it. I also am doing 2x weekly methyl b-12 injections. They are great!
  17. Donna, Since you said you have LOTS of workout DVD's...have you tried Lara Hudsons 10 minute work outs? I want to but one because someone on LN suggested it.
  18. Ugh...what a stupid Dr!!! I HATE Dr's like that! I hope your bloodwork comes back positive. Also, it's not in your head! Don't worry, and keep looking for answers until you find them! The one thing I regret the most about this whole going gluten-free thing is that I didn't go to a GI Dr and get scoped, so now I can't get a dx unless I go back on gluten. ...
  19. This is interesting to me. I was dx'd with SBBO and my GI Dr only gave me 10 days of antibiotics...not 45! That's a pretty big difference. I thought once it was killed off, there would be no reason to keep taking the abx? Does anyone know?
  20. Paula, I'm so sorry! That's awful! Donna, I think you would have had a reaction by now. I actually changed my b-12 days from Tuesday and Saturday to Monday and Thursday, so I can have energy during the school week. My point is that I did one on Saturday and then one again today, and I'm fine. Do you know the dosage you're getting? Andrea...
  21. Happy second anniversary on Celiac.com!!!!
  22. Lol! Yay, we get to share the honor! Phenergan works pretty well, not great. What dosage are you on? I'm only on 25 mg every 8 hours, but sometimes I "cheat" and take it at 7 hours because it starts wearing off. My PICC doesn't really still itch anymore. It's not because of the tape, well, actually there really isn't any tape on there, it...
  23. Donna and Rachel, Are you guys having flash flood warnings? We are--well, not LA, but areas very close to us. Just wanted to make sure you're okay.
  24. Birdy, I have no idea what may help you. I'm sorry. Please keep us updated. Paula, I did Dr Z's questionnaire and he said he thinks I have Hypoglycemia, Candida, Digestive Problems/HCL, Digestive Problems/Bile and Digestive Problems/Pancreatic Enzymes. Lol! I wonder if there is any valididty to this test? Hmm
  25. Allison, That is still so sad. I can't imagine such a thing, but I do think that if any of them have health problems, they should look into Lyme. When I first read what you typed, I immediately thought Lyme. I agree that telling her you think the Dr's screwed up is a BAD idea...that's the last thing she needs; support is all she really needs right...
