    Paula, Most if not all organic peanut butters will have only 1-2 ingredients...peanuts and salt. The kind I but from Trader Joe's only has peanuts and salt (I think...it may not have salt, can't remember). Also, there is a brand called Laura Schudder's and it's gluten-free, df, sf. Kassandra

    Carla you beat me to it...lol! I was going to say that you need a Dr or MD to order these tests. I had a HUGE mix up with a "naturopath" who said they would sign it, but then I found out I needed an MD to sign it. Again, it depends on whether your ND can sign for these types of things. Ask them...also, some ND's offices have MD who oversee everything...

    I have to say I agree with casnco. I know in my family we are all very honest about the gifts we get and whether we like them or not. If I get something I don't like but pretend I like it, I won't ever use it and that's not the point of the reason someone bought me a gift...it's to use it and love it! I guess because all of my friends know I don't eat...

    More insurance drama!! Besides the fact that they wouldn't pay for the iron IV's...they won't even pay for the saline and heparin flushes!!! OMG...this company is ridiculous! I have no idea what we are going to do because we are leaving tomorrow and it will need to be flushed on Friday and we won't have anything to flush it with....ugh!!! Tantwan...

    Carla, I am hoping Lyme will be viewed differently by the time I go through Med school...lol! One can hope! Donna, I think that the LLMD may be able to order these things, BUT I don't know if he'd know about dosing, etc. It is a tricky drug to deal with. And, if you do too much of it, etc. you can kill someone. There really is an art to it....

    Carla, I have dreams about being an OB/GYN who is Lyme literate!! I think that would be amazing!!! I agree that studying Western Medicine will be a great thing to do, and who knows I may decide to become a bone doctor....lol! As far as the health stuff with my mom, it is really hard because I do think she has Lyme, but she chooses to ignore it...

    So I had my first iron IV today. It went well, except the car ride home...lol. My mom and I got into an argument about the LLMD. The Dr. today asked where we were going on Friday and my mom opened her big mouth and said a Lyme specialist!!! UGH!! He nicely said just to watch out because some LLMD's are a little crazy and tend to attract patients who are desperate...

    Kristina, Have you thought about seeing a naturopath or possibly an LLMD? I don't know what your thoughts are, but if the Western Med. community can't find anything wrong with your anatomy (an ulcer, etc.) then they will not do anything for you which I am sure you already know. I'm just thinking if you maybe went to someone who does more of an overall...

    I don't know about the gluten-free status of the foods you are asking about, but I have been there and I had the water bowl thing with chicken where you dip it and cook it yourself. It's amazing! I just brought my own soy sauce (when I was eating soy) and they didn't have any problems with it. Kassandra

    Donna, LOL!! I don't have to bring my own supplies, but I do have to flush the line every day. That requires about 6 syringes a day...4 saline and 2 heparin. Since I have a double catheter, I have to have twice the amount of supplies...lol! They may flush it for me in the Dr's office, I don't know though. Regardless, we still need supplies for the days...

    Jin, I'm glad you got to have a conversation with your grandmom! That's great! I understand about the generosity becvause I have two very wealthy uncles and they are always giving me stuff. They bought me my car, re-did my romm (cost about $10,000!!!) and still continue to shower me in gifts. I figure at this point, if they offer, I take them up on it...

    I just got the best Hannukah gifts ever!!!! OMG!! I got a gel eye mask to help with sinus pain, headaches, etc. AND one of those bed pillow things that have little arms. It's great to sit in bed and use my laptop now in bed!!! YAY!!! Sarah, I understand the anti candida diet sucks! There are some good recipes online though if she gets bored of chicken...

    Carla, I would suggest Celiac testing...like Sherry said, I know a lot of people at Celiac camp who didn't have ANY relatives with genes or Celiac, so it's possible.     So I went to the Dr's office to have my PICC line flushed and it went well. They changed the dressing which was supposed to be changed 24 hours after it was inserted...but oh well. I have 5 stitches...lol! I thought there was only one. The nurse taught us how to flush it so we now know how to take care of it. I hope my mom remembers everything properly...
