  1. The reason you may experiencing a loss in appetite is because finally your body is getting the proper nutrients and it is satisfied with "normal" amounts of food. If you weren't absorbing before, you now are...thus the appetite change. Kassandra
  2. It depends...but if you really are wanting to avoid dairy strictly, I would avoid it. That would make me sick...but you'll have to see how you react. It's up to you, but that does contain casein.
  3. OMG! How cute is that!!! I'm so jealous!!
  4. If you go to the Forum section of the website, then scroll down to "Gluten Free Recipes/Baking Tips" and click that. Then, you'll see the names of all the threads people have started. In the upper right-hand corner there should be a button that says start a new thread (or something like that) then click it and there you go! I hope this helps!!
  5. Andrea, How did it go meeting Tom? Can't wait to hear! Kassandra
  6. Do you know if there is a trader joe's somewhere near by where you will be? They are GREAT for gluten (they have a list of stuff that doesn't have gluten in it on their site) and obviously dairy and soy will be labeled. Can you tolerate raw veggies okay...for things like salads? Again, Trader Joe's has some good gluten-free, sf, cf dressings. I don't...
  7. Oh, okay. Is she gluten free still?
  8. Someone said something about me being on prilosec, and I'm not. I haven't taken it in a while...I don't remember why I stopped taking it...some side effect...can't remember. Kassandra
  9. Uh oh...I'm starting to get really itchy! Ahhh, I hope something just brushed my skin. That would suck BIG time if I was reacting. Carla, does Chloe take her Zithro on a full or empty stomach? Also, did she post on here the other day...there was a ChloeB asking about lipgloss! Kassandra
  10. On a personal and off topic note, my brother actually left the house today after not leaving for weeks!!! We went to get my mom some more gifts for Xmas! He was actually getting freaked out by the end because oh my...we were gone for more than 10 minutes! LOL! Offthegrid, I have A LOT of joint pain, and it's pretty bad, but not everyone has it...
  11. Yay! I got an appt and they didn't sound TOO mad...lol!
  12. Jin, I actually did a formal test for Candida...I had to send it in...but it was only $45. That's pretty cheap these days...lol! I am going to buy my mom something and a gift for a teacher of mine (well, ex teacher now ) whom I am really close with, oh and her baby girl! Oh my...you reminded me I should get something for my Dad and stepmom in NZ...
  13. Aww Amanda, that is so sweet! What a great gift!!! Kassandra
  14. Donna, Okay...so I *MAY* be able to give them to myself! I'd really rather NOT have my mom have to do it....lol!!
  15. Sheesh...you guys have been busy! Everyone, I think I am going to try to reduce my sugar intake as much as possible. Someone said something about Nystatin...I'm waiting for it to come in the mail because Dr. H did order it for me. I don't know why he didn't say anything about an anti candida diet...I guess I will try to eliminate as much sugar as...
  16. Sorry to keep asking so many questions....BUT I was wondering if there may be some reason my LLMD didn't talk to me about an anti-candida diet while on abx? Hmm...should I start one anyway? Does that mean no fruit? Kassandra
  17. Yes, I took my first Zithro at about 8 (45 minutes ago). We are waiting with baited breath to see if anything happens to me. I am a little itchy all over, but I don't know if that's normal for me...lol. Everyone, Anybody know how long it will take for me to herx? Is that different? Can anyone share their experiences!? Also, does it matter if I take...
  18. I started some Probiotics last night to see if it may help my stomach and since I just woke I up, I don't know if I'll be nauseous today with food or not. But, the good news is that I also took some Olive Leaf Extract and that didn't bother me at all! The probiotics are the ones that say they have soy and dairy in them...but I didn't feel that in any...
  19. I am doing a little bit better now. I got the stool test done and I think that was weighing heavily on my mind...lol! It was possibly the grossest thing I have *EVER* had to do...lol. I'm sure you all can empathize! Yuckkk...good riddance! I will go tomorrow and do the LabCorp...does anyone think I should wait until after the blood test to start things.....
  20. I had my last iron IV today and it went well, other than feeling really weak because I haven't been able to eat. We put in a call to the LLMD's office to see what they suggest we do so I can actually eat. All I have been able to get down today is some green smoothie and a little bit of fudge. Meanwhile my mom is angry at me (again...of course) because...
  21. I would have too! LOL!!
  22. Thank you to everyone who replied to me and gave food ideas. Unfortunately I think any heavy foods such as coconut would bother me! Truly the ONLY thing I seem okay with is smoothies...the good news is that I put LOTS of protein powder in the smoothies in the morning. I can't do any dairy because I will get horrible migraines. I will try some things people...
  23. UGH!!! I am SO SICK AND TIRED OF THIS!!!!! This is really tiring...I have been getting worse and worse!!! Seems like my body only likes liquids! I guess at this point, I don't know if I should call the LLMD and ask what to do about this. I have already lost about 5 lbs in about a week...this is worrying me! I don't mind losing the weight...
  24. Did/does anyone ever have trouble swallowing?? Omg, this is awful, I am having really shallow breathing and I can barely swallow. I had a bowl of chicken noodle soup and I'm so nauseous I can't take it!!! :( Kassandra
