    That's SO EXCITING Carla! I remember the day I got my braces off...omg...amazing! The recipe for fudge balls: 2 cups almond butter 2 cups dates, pitted and soaked 1/2 cup carob powder (I used cocoa powder and it worked out fine) 1. Put dates in food processor and blend until smooth 2. Add other ingredients and process until mixed well together...

    Bananas are hard for a lot of people. I used to NEVER be able to tolerate them at a.., but now I seem fine with them. Donna, The flush was fine, it doesn't hurt or anything.     Carla, That's amazing! So...there *IS* hope...lol!?!!? Everyone, I went to the Hematologists' office and they flushed the PICC with saline and heparin (blood thinner). They have me going back tomorrow and in the meantime we are trying to set up a Home Health Nurse to come to my house, so they can teach ME how to do all of this stuff. Of course...

My mom of course had a deposition today at 12.00, so she can't be there, but my grandpa will be there. I don't know what the point of insurance is if they don't pay for anything. Offthegrid, I know!     Update...you know how the insurance company was going to pay for the iron IVs....well they are now saiyng there is a $3000 deductible for EVERY sickness! OMG!!!!!!!!!!! My mom is freaking out and she threatened to sue them, so we are now waiting for the case worker to call us back to see what she says. In the middle of all of this, I posted on LN about...

    Everyone, I successfully took a shower without soaking my PICC line. As a matter of fact, I didn't even get it wet! YAY! We had medical tape already, so I just used that. We are going to get thicker tape though because I used almost the whole thing because it was so thin. Julie, I don't know about the numbness. I hope someone has ideas. Kassandra

    Donna, When I was hospitalized, my bracelet was totally waterproof. It may have been because I was on the pediatric floor...they didn't trust me! My mom won't get tested either for Celiac...which is so annoying because she is still on gluten and has so many symptoms. I don't blame you for not wanting a PICC line...I didn't think it would hurt...

    Hello all, Well, that was an experience I could have done without. LOL! It wasn't HORRIBLE, but it wasn't any fun either. They did it in an Operating Room...sterile environment (my grandma had to leave...I guess she wasn't sterile enough... ). There were 3 people, the Dr./surgeon, a nurse and another nurse. One nurse stood there and basically held my hand...

    I called the office who was supposed to give me the Lyme results on Friday...she said she totally forgot to send them. She sent them to my house, but I'm at my grandparents.     If he did allergy testing by skin scratching, you won't have a wheat allergy. Celiac isn't a wheat allergy, it's a gluten intolerance. We don't stop breathing or go into shock when we consume gluten, it just slowly breaks down our immune systems. Some people *do* have wheat allergies, but most Celiac's do NOT. That would explain why the test came back negative...

But I guess the good news is that Igenex called and they wanted to know which Dr. would authorize the test and I told them I would be going to see an LLMD and I'm sure he would sign the papers.     All I can say is "OMG!!!" That was the worst experience ever at the dentist! I have the worst headache, jaw ache and now throat ache. I remember why I hate going to the dentist! LOL!!!
