  3. i totally understand. im still going through the "i want an iv diet" stage. lol. i get really sick of the thought of eating. i used to just grab anything and everything to eat whenever i wanted. my suggestion is to try to figure out if you have any other food allergies. we figured out i have an egg allergy. i made a flourless chocolate cake and it had 6 eggs...
  4. hey, i am not a mom, but i am a young adult and i see my mom go through this with feeling so bad about everything i have been through with my health. i have had such severe anemia, and other symptoms (TOO MANY TO LIST!!!) and the good news is that he is only 6. so if he does have celiac, it can pretty much taken care of with a gluten-free (gluten free)...
  5. MJS, thats really funny. i totally understand...i love gluten-free cookies!! i am going through that, but i am finding all of these other food allergies so i cant eat almost any of the gluten-free stuff now. lol...aw poor me...jk!

    ahhhh, i made flourless chocolate cake for mothers day and i think i am allergic to the eggs...i dont know. i feel like i got severly glutened. what do i do...i am ssssoooo nauseous i cant take it. any ideas...FAST would be greatly appreciated! kassandra
  7. haley, i totally understand. i am almost 17, and we are still waiting for results back from the lab, but we are almost 100% sure i have celiac. i have been strictly gluten free (gluten-free) for about 2 weeks. i understand the grieving process. i went through it a while ago when i was kinda gluten-free, but not really. it felt like torture. about 5 days...

Hello, I have been seeing an herbalist (chinese doctor) who actually told me i have a severe gluten allergy. it turns out he was totally right. i went to him because of my anemia, exhaustion, stomach aches, etc. he didnt know about celiac, but now that i am gluten-free, i felll almost 100% better. we are waiting for enterolab results to come back, to know...

Lister, I know thatwhen my dad had 4 kidneystones(!!!!!!!) he was told not to consume any dairy, the reason being they are high in calcium. they said that calcium is part of what caused the kidney stones. so, if they said not to, i wouldnt. also, dairy isnt good for you... go to www.notmilk.com and read about how bad it is. i am not "allergic" but i dont...
  12. I too have a really low ferritin level. It was less than one (my doctor had NEVER SEEN numbers so low). They say it should be 3-130. This is obviously a huge range and i have a hematologist, who told me i needed iron IV treatments stat. I did about 6 weeks ago and my ferritin went up to 130!!!! Now, 6 weeks later its back down to 40! My hemoglobin is at ...

  14. Hey, If you want your kid(s) with celiac to go to a support group, you can look up a "ROCK" (Raising Our Celiac Kids) in your area. I have heard they go on gluten-free picnics, etc. Also, this site is really helpful!! Good luck! P.S. Ignore people who say rude things. Going 100% gluten-free is really a big commitment and some people aren't as understanding...
  15. yea, i set up confusedks first, but never got the email to activate it, so then i set up wanaenjoylife on a different email address, and got the confirmation, so i used that one for a little. then i tried signing in for confusedks and it worked!!! go figure. lol

  17. hey everybody, i totally understand cheating a little. all it took for me was one time with famous amos chocolate cookies (which was doubly bad...dairy and gluten!!!!!!!!!!) and i havent cheated on purpose since. i felt ssssooooo bad i remembered and have no problem remembering how i felt after. sometimes it takes cheating to get you to enough of a bottom...
  18. Hey everybody. I can totally relate to not feeling better "soon" enough after gluten-free diet. I am just trying as hard as I can to not get gluttoned and bringing food wherever I go. I got a cool lunchbox with a freezer pack and that's helpful. Hope you feel better soon
  19. Hey. I have been suffering from symptoms my whole life. They thought I had an ulcer and ibs and I am stuck in an endless battle with anemia. I had iron IV treatments about a month ago and now we think I'm anemic again!!!! Thanks for letting me rant. I'm so sick and tired of being sick and tired. Kassie where do you live and what do you eat for lunch at school...
