sometimes I get these white spots when I'm doing the teeth whitening stuff, it has to do with your enamel, but mine also show up on the front, top few teeth.

Can you give some examples of companies that are advertising that they are gluten free but in actuality are not? This is a pretty bold statement with nothing to back it up.
-
I buy and always have and have never had any trouble with them.

This list is not all inclusive, which they explain at the top of the page. Most of the Reese's products are gluten free (normal sizes) but you have to read the labels very carefully. I eat the big Reese's cups, normal cups, Nutrageous and Fast Breaks with no issue. Typically they do tell you to avoid the mini sizes and the holiday shapes however.

To the best of my knowledge, Crispy M&M's are no longer produced.
-
No one ruled out cross contamination. We weren't sure why they were telling people to avoid whey.

Lawry's is definitely OK, please remember that something from 2009 might not be relevant anymore in 2012.

Sometimes product changes take a long time to get everything on the same page. That's why reading labels is so important. perhaps until they're 100% certain that the gluten is completely out ALL plants that make the item, they felt it best to continue to keep people safe by having wheat still listed. There's always room for mistake and error, better to be cautious then remove it and make a ton of people sick.
-
I believe the latest was that they were changing them to make them gluten free, but I cannot remember were I saw this.
-
I love it and use it all the time.

I don't think they get a fail on that...it doesn't contain wheat, it contains Oat, which they state that.

Hershey is a fantastic place to visit if you're gluten free. Piazza Sorrento is one of my favorite restaurants, however all of the restaurants at the Lodge and the Hotel offer Gluten Free options and they are all trained extremely well on allergens. If you're going to the amusement park, they're also trained and knowledgeable. I have eaten at almost all of the restaurants that offer gluten free menus and am very cautious and have never felt sick. I also know most of the chefs there too, if you have a particular restaurant or question that you're curious about please message me directly or post it on here and I'll try to help you have the best experience that you can!

Definitely make sure you look at the dates on the posts before you come onto the site and reprimand someone for posting something that was accurate at that time. My goodness.

I noticed that. Must just have something against Hershey's!

That's pretty upsetting that your husband would have a problem with you writing on a forum to try and better your health. I wish you the best.

Hershey's DID NOT move their plant to MEXICO. They moved it to CHINA.
I am NOT comfortable with that. I don't think CHINA really cares about our health or regulations on this side of the planet.
Here's the link stating the move.... Open Original Shared Link

Gary
This is completely wrong Gary...please don't come on this site and post rumors. Hershey's moved one of their plants to Mexico. As it was stated, your link talks about opening a production plant in China to serve the Asian market.

Sounds like a case of a confused rep to me. test the theory out and call back with the same question and see what happens!

I'm also 19 weeks pregnant and have to tell you, just DO NOT give into the cravings. You risk potentially losing your child if you do, it's been studied that people who don't have their celiac disease under control suffer more losses than the average person. IF you're having a craving for something with gluten, find a reasonable alternative that IS gluten free. Knowing that it could potentially harm your child should be reason enough to stop.
-
That's why I started the reply with "each pregnancy is different"...I'm sorry you've been so sick though still!

I know that this is an old post but I find it odd that you'd suggest someone avoiding whey because they reacted to a McFlurry. I would say it's highly likely that it was cross contamination based on the flavors that McDonald's now has of McFlurries. The Oreo one is their most popular. They used to have a lot of different flavors but now I think they have 3 or so. I also am curious about your term "cross react" Whey is from milk, not a celiac thing.

my doctor prescribes the vile and syringes, I thought that was how it was typically handled. I had trouble drawing up the vile myself also and now the pharmacist just does it for me. It seems odd that you have to figure this out on your own, definitely go back into your doctor and figure out exactly what is expected!

I've been a celiac for 9 years and am 39 weeks pregnant today. As long as she follows her diet and stays healthy, she should have no problems having children. Also, there is no way of knowing if the child will have celiac...it's a trial and error process once they start eating solid foods.
