    My daughter has been taking lessons for a little while now. She is not involved in the feeding process but she does give horse treats at the end of her lesson. We don't necessarily make sure they are gluten free but they could be by choosing carrots, apples, or peppermints (which we do sometimes).     Unfortunately, this is probably the worse age (IMO) to have to deal with Celiac. The child is too young to understand and also mobile enough to get his hands onto things that he shouldn't.     Yes, we are comfortable with General Mills policy of disclosing gluten in their label (and not requiring "gluten free" on the packaging). My daughter has not shown herself to be sensitive to shared facilities or shared lines. This is true for many Celiacs . . . and also NOT true for many Celiacs. You have to do what works for you.
