I"m sorry Nora, I don't remember saying DH wasn't celiacs, in fact my derm told me it was and since my last post on here, My gastro specialist said the same thing, I did have the blood tests Monday the 15th, waiting on results...and i have no clue about government money in the US for celiacs and i never even thought about it. thank you so much, I do have a health food store near me that carries a wide variety of gluten-free foods, I will look there when i go back. I like the rice cakes to snack on, I'm a snacker!!!!

I"m not sure i've seen the Lundberg brand in my stores i shop at, i'll have to check more into it. I'm just going to stop eating them and see if the few spots i have goes away. The section on my lower back was heading south! but my derm. said i was very lucky it didn't appear in places where its seen. I think the worse spot was my pubic area, thats enough to drive you nuts. I just looked at my grocery store i shop at, there is a goya section and a greek food section, I found corn flour in the goya section and a rice flour, as for the greek section, they had many different flours, only problem is, it was written in greek LOL soooo i need a translator for that stuff..anyone ever use goya products? -

I'm new to this diet, and at my health food store i found different flours, there is the rice flour, tapioca flour, and a few others, which would be better for baking cakes and pastries, and which would be better for just cooking with? My dermatologist started me on the gluten-free diet late August, So i've been on it now for a little while and feeling MUCH better, rash is pretty much gone My gastro dr. said the same thing, being on the diet and the dapsone and feeling much better is a sure sign YOU have celiacs, he just did the blood work to see, curious i guess, but not doubting..I... -

I Have DH I was just recently diagnosed with it, My understanding is, the only way to stop the rash is a gluten free diet and a med called dapsone, some people need to be on the med and the diet fora while before they clear up, IF you can, see a dermatologist and get a biopsy of the rash. but going gluten-free will definitly help in the meantime.

All i can say is WOW!!! i'm reading these posts and relating so much, i went in to my family dr. last summer with a rash (2006) i was told i picked something up from camping, went back in 3 weeks later as the rash didn't go away, i was told my husband must be giving me something from his work, got more predisone, was back in 3 weeks with the rash still.....

I glutened myself last week, i read the hot dog chili sauce can 2 times, didn't see anything that i was familiar with, btw i've only been gluten free for a month and a half, so i put a drizzle of chili on my hotdog, about 30 minutes later, i could feel my head fogging up, then the migraine started, i got real tired..it only lasted that evening, thank god... -

He did do a scraping at my first appt. but i was told thats not a biopsy. I'm just going to see what this dr has to say, he won't do any tests unless i say so lol. I might go for the scope to see how much damage was done to my intestine, i've been diagnosed with IBS for 16 yrs, so i'm worried how much damage was done in all that time. My DH was never a hard lump, they were always small red itchy pimples, that would mushroom into more after a few days. sounds to me like you got bit by an insect and you might be having a reaction to the bite.

I was just recently diagnosed with DH in August of this year. but I had my rash for about a year. it started on my stomach, pubic area, back of my neck, head, inside my arms, sheens of my legs, and lower back, Never on my face or hands. I have scars on my sheens and lower back. i'm on dapsone 100 mg a day and a gluten-free diet. My rash is pretty much gone...

Does anyone know the brand name of a corn tortilla that i can buy? I tried a gluten-free bread and wasn't real thrilled with it. I saw mentioned on here somehwere (I can't find it now) a person liked to use the 100% corn tortilla as a sandwich wrap, which sounds good to me, Thanks for any help, Lori
