Open Original Shared Link Okay so this week's Cavemen focused on eating gluten-free, even though it was not entirely accurate, and it's a comedy it brings attention to gluten to the public. It also point out that gluten-free cookies taste like dirt. Good to get gluten's name out there!! And it was comical. Plus it was brought up as part of the...

ARCHIVED I Am Going To Try Nixing The Soy...
FootballFanatic posted a topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease
I really didn't want to eliminate soy because my diet has just narrowed down so far since going gluten free... BUT, I'm dizzier and dizzier and the B12 isn't helping. I start my day off with gluten-free waffles(which contain soy) Snack on an apple and some gluten-free pretzels(which contain soy) Then I'm dizzy. Those are really the only... -
ARCHIVED This Made My Blood Boil...
FootballFanatic replied to L.A.'s topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
I get face cleanser in my mouth on a daily basis, I know this because it tastes gross. How about powder/blush/bronzer that is applied with a brush...does that not fly into the air and potentially land itself in your mouth? What happens if you touch your face that has gluten containing products on it and then prepare or eat food, or touch your lips... -

I would say gas gas gas. If it gets really bothersome you can talk to your doctor and point out where it is and they will poke around on you to feel where it is and if it could be something more serious than gas. I did that because I kept thinking it was a kidney or an ovary and when he felt around my stomach he said he felt signs of constipation and...

I do believe in "IBS" when it is a person who gets intestinal problems under extreme pressure, like my mom gets D when she gets under too much stress of a project or travel etc. My boyfriend gets D when he gets extremely nervous. My friend gets very painful cramping and nausea and indigestion when her emotions get a blow (like a breakup or a death). But...

ARCHIVED What Do I Do Or Say?
FootballFanatic replied to peaches102984's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
I wouldn't go gluten free until I got actual results either, and now that I have been diagnosed and read all about it, I see gluten as a poison. I could never put it near my mouth knowingly. Hopefully something comes back that makes a difference to him, but a lot of people get negative test results and still respond well to the gluten free diet. I... -

ARCHIVED A Couple Of Questions Because I Feel Like Screaming
FootballFanatic posted a topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
Okay so I have anxiety and depression. Mostly the anxiety is due to emetophobia and germophobia, and obviously feeling sick everyday doesn't help either of those.... My depression came after the anxiety....just got fed up with this BS. I used to be so healthy and feel so good. I don't feel better yet on gluten-free, and almost Dairy Free. I just... -
Thanks! I really didn't want a gummy vitamin because I just want to swallow it and be done with it but all the children's versions were gummy or chewable, I found one by "Rainbow Light" called "Active Health TEEN" so it has a smaller dose and says gluten free on the bottle. Hopefully I'll start feeling better soon.

ARCHIVED I Need To Take Cross Contamination 101
FootballFanatic replied to woolwhippet's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
I treat gluten like a deadly virus now because since going gluten free I haven't consumed anything that contains gluten, but I have gotten the contamination symptoms quite a few times. I have to refill my soap dispenser way more often now because I have to wash hands everytime I touch a surface of any kind, and sometimes that happens multiple times while... -
ARCHIVED How Do You Keep Going When You're Not Getting Better?
FootballFanatic posted a topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
First of all, I am not ready to try and eliminate soy yet because I already only have 4 meals that I switch between and a few snacks, so I would just shrivel away if I eliminated soy at this point, PLUS, I have so many friends who didn't have to eliminate anything except gluten and temporary dairy/fatty foods...they just took a LONG time to heal. But... -
Mine started itching because I had to give up my lotions that I didn't know the ingredients of (all of them) so then I just got the Udderly Smooth Udder Cream (which is gluten free) and it's such a good product! I found it at walmart, and I've seen it almost everywhere, it's cheap too!

ARCHIVED Achey Joints For Days
FootballFanatic replied to FootballFanatic's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
I get a good amount of sun each day, I am in college and walk between classes, walk my dog, run errands. I'm sure I get about 30 minutes on an average day. -
Offer up anything you can that you know is gluten free because I'm going to the health food and the grocery store tomorrow and would like to start a multivitamin. (My doctor wants me to start with a kids dose because my body over reacts to every medication and I'm already on a lot of meds a day.) Anyway, any brands that are for sure gluten free, please...

ARCHIVED Healed And Never Get Sick
FootballFanatic replied to Lisa's topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease
I've got a friend who doesn't react and she has cheated by eating chicken tenders and biscuits...still nothing. Now she wants to get an endoscopy to look at her villi to see if they really are getting damaged. Maybe you could talk to a doctor about getting checked. -
ARCHIVED Achey Joints For Days
FootballFanatic replied to FootballFanatic's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
This is kind of funny but would a tanning bed's UV rays give me vit. D or is it only the sun. That's a good question now that I've thought of it. It doesn't seem like lights could synthesize a vitamin but who knows. When I started tanning Monday is when this kind of started... -

Got stung by a bee, never been stung but I'm allergic to wasps. I can't get drowsy because I have too much studying to do, so is the Non-Drowsy Benadryl gluten-free? -
Aw, please try to find a different job! I wont even take a waitressing job and that would just be carrying food. I hope you can find other work where you are not getting contact flour.
