  1. I have worked in many restaurants and trust me none of them make people wear gloves. In fact, a lot of restaurants Ive worked at the managers had no problem with people ringing people up on the register as in handling money, then going right back to handling food without washing their hands. Ive been in this industry and trust me, there are a lot of reasons...
  2. Yeah but if it was them being canned that was the problem I would think all canned stuff would do that. I use canned refried beans and black beans and veggies all with no problems. I'll try it with white beans, thanks!
  3. Every other bean (that Ive tried) seems to be fine. I don't think its the brand of hummus because the same thing has happened with canned chickpeas (both organic, inorganic, and from salad bars). I don't have a clue how they could be getting contaminated with gluten all those times. It must be just another sensitivity. Anyone tried hummus made with white...
  4. I use J Lynne Cosmetics mineral makeup. Also gluten free.
  5. Well I'm finally facing the fact that sadly, chickpeas are off the list. No matter what, I get sick, drained, HORRIBLE feeling when I eat them. I have no idea why and I tried to deny it for the longest time as I'm gluten free and vegetarian and there is so little I can eat. Chickpeas were a big staple food for me in the past, but I started noticing...
  6. Hello everyone. I'm pretty new to these forums. I discovered I was gluten sensitive just this past year (dont know if I have Celiac or not, no insurance to get tested and no doctor, but I am for sure sensitive to the nasty stuff just through my own experimenting). Ive done Humaworm twice in the past and am about to start another round soon. My last time...
  7. Hmm. It doesn't say if its derived from soy or wheat. Its a product from the dollar store, I don't even know if the company is in existence anymore as I googled the name and nothing came up but some other unrelated company. I guess I'll continue to use it and see what happens. Thanks!
  8. I read some posts on here that people were having reactions to vitamin E? Why? I did some googling but couldn't find anything. I just purchased a vitamin E oil thats amazing. It has safflower oil, grapeseed oil, and vitamin E. I havent had any negative reactions to it, in fact its really been helping with the fine lines under my eyes. Should I not...
  9. I ate one clif bar a day last week, as I thought clif bars would be gluten free. They are made of oats, but so far I had not noticed a reaction as I didn't eat clif bars too frequently (I started a new job where I need a snack to get me through the day so I started eating them more). Wow. I had quite a reaction. I also think I got glutened in another...
  10. Yes. I've determined through a LOT of self testing that the acne like lesions on my face are definitely triggered by gluten. I think they might even be some weird form of DH, as often times I get them at my temples and around my mouth in an almost PERFECTLY mirrored pattern (one an inch from my mouth and a little down on the left side, the other an inch...
  11. This is a thread I was looking for. I was actually thinking of starting one myself til I found this. I find the gluten free diet easy for the most part, while having a home and cooking everything myself. But come next spring at the latest Im quitting my job and giving up my apartment to take a year or more off to travel, do volunteer work, visit friends...
  12. I also work in a restaurant. A pizza place (ugh the torture). The flour gets EVERYWHERE. I used to eat salads and cheese/veggie melts from there, before I worked there and saw the workers rolling dough on the table with flour scattered all over, then WITHOUT even washing the table, cutting tomatos on it. They also grind up the cheese in the same big...
