  1. Wow, no offense to your husband but the kissing thing would be wayyyy over the line for me. If it were me, tears would have been shed, blows would have possibly been dealt, it would have been a highly unpleasant fiasco. I simply don't fool around with someone messing with my health, not after what I've been through! My family doesn't understand, although...
  2. It doesn't have to be good. It just has to be alcohol. I'm not one of those people who is really into wine for the taste, etc. I drink for a buzz and that's it. lol. I don't really care about sulfites if they aren't related to gluten. If all wines are gluten free then woo hoo is all I have to say! Thanks!
  3. Hi everyone. I apologize if this has been talked about, I'm sure it has but I did a search and all I found was a thread talking about sulfites making some people sick. I need to know of a common brand of gluten free red wine that could be picked up at any average american drugstore such as wallgreens or rite aid. I'm not much of a drinker and know nothing...
  4. I eat eggs, and they haven't glutened me. Some chemicals, hormones, pesticides, etc get into meat/eggs/dairy when fed to the animal, but gluten is a protein, it isn't a chemical and shouldn't transfer into the animals eggs, as far as I know.
  5. I'm a vegetarian and gluten free! No meat cravings. haha.. it's not a choice between meat or grains. I still eat rice, quinoa, etc.
  6. I'm lucky I don't get the D. But as for the pain, no clue if there is a way to stop it, or the skin reaction that follows for me, someone let me know? A time machine to go back and eat something else? Gah...frustration.
  7. I agree fat is important and I have this same hunger. Must be because of the body trying to absorb nutrients, I agree.
  8. God how did u do it, its soooo hard, I never cheat but ive been accidentally glutened thousands of times it seems. Always right when Im starting to improve too. Most frustrating thing ever.
  9. Unlike some people who get D, gluten gives me C. I can't go normally for a few days after I've been glutened. It sucks. Things get to working normally again after a few days, but it can be awful. Even trace amounts do it.
  10. Some people are so stupid. Why the hell would this lady even want to say that to you????
  11. I'm so sorry you are in pain. I don't know much what to do about pain as well. I take ibuprofins for pain I absolutely cannot deal with, such as cramping for my period. But be careful, I think I was glutened off a generic brand of ibu's yesterday. I woke up with new Dh sores on my face.
  12. I got glutened by Tropicana the other day. Fair warning, their cranberry juice cocktail is not safe. I was dumb, they sell the cocktail in the exact same bottle as their 100% grape juice, so I just grabbed it at the gas station and didn't look. I drank half of it down before looking at the bottle and seeing "cocktail" "natural flavoring" etc. And being like...
  13. You aren't alone. Same deal for me. I hurt bad right now, and I'm just waiting for the DH to start. I was stupid, and went to a supposed gluten free vegan restaurant. I should have known better when the guy at the counter didn't seem to sure of himself when telling me what was gluten free and what wasn't. I don't know where the gluten was, but I can feel...
  14. You need humaworm! Itching anus is a HUGE sign of parasites. So are a lot of your other symptoms in fact. I'm on humaworm right now, its good stuff.
  15. Ahahahahahahhahahha! I got the same comment. I was telling someone about my celiac and they were like "Oh yeah, that glucose is awful." What I do NOT freaking understand is how a huge company like macdonalds, which caters to people all over the EARTH, cannot have a simple fact sheet for their customers about nutrition and allergy information. I'm pretty...
  16. Maybe she is doing that no flour no sugar type diet, meaning actual flour stuff like noodles, but not caring about the gluten itself in other things.
  17. *sigh* We should all write her.
  18. LOL! You have no idea how much stuff I keep giving my mom. I go over for a visit with a big bag of this or that and she is just like "again?" haha. Damn its hard.
  19. I was thinking that earlier too...and wondering why the hell someone doesn't tell her that oats are not gluten free? You would think all her "people" would be well read on what is and what isn't acceptable in a gluten free diet.
  20. If I see that on the label I usually don't buy it. I never thought it was a big deal but I see how workers are. I work in a pizza place where we make our own dough, cheese, etc. I watch them every day make a big batch of dough then a big batch of cheese in the same machine without washing it. There is LOTS of dough in our cheese. I figure its the same...
  21. By cysts I mean cystic acne. I have been suffering from horrible acne for years, turns out it was being caused by gluten. I don't even think its really acne maybe some weird form of DH or another skin thing. They are big, dark red sometimes even purplish red lesions which are very painful and itchy and take forever to go away.
  22. Oprah is going gluten free??? Thats awesome. I really like Oprah. She is sort of ahead of the curve as a human being, I like everything she does and most of what she has to say, especially how she seems to think outside the box in the areas of spirituality and medicine. Cool! I missed this episode, I don't get home from work til 5 now and always...
  23. Ha. Funny you say that, I was just thinking earlier how stupid it is that ANY butter would have gluten in it. I use challenge butter now. It's gluten free and pretty good quality.
  24. Thanks. I usually do too! I think the fact that it was just there in the gluten free section with all the other things (that was the ONE thing I didn't look too closely at, all the others were fine) that threw me. Hopefully you won't see these posts from me anymore for awhile because I'm going into super careful red alert mode.
  25. It's almost funny. I can't believe myself. I went and did all my shopping at my favorite organic vegetarian grocery store. They have a HUGE gluten free selection there, I love it. Its even bigger than whole foods. You can get almost everything gluten free there. Well I got a lot of stuff and picked up these flax/hemp protien and nut bars..that were IN the...
