  1. Hi pinkscooby! I got zapped by a package of the tostitos bite size gold tortilla chips. I was so bummed. I think that you have to be careful with Lays because of CC-- and I have seen more comments to that effect here. I won't buy them again for a really long time, if ever. On the other hand I have had really good luck with smaller "natural...
  2. reese's reanut butter cups, pearson's salted nut rolls and blue diamond smoke house almonds with jalape
  3. Hi Lisa, I apologize for the delay in this response, but I have been conversing back and forth with our Product Development department to get as much information for you as possible. In labeling our products, we at JUARA follow the guidelines established by the International Nomenclature for Cosmetics Ingredients (INCI). Our product line doesn't currently...
  4. I got this this morning from the company in France! They took a few days to research it. Her English is great! I am sad to have to throw out my divinora lipsticks.... goodbye Princess Diana pink! Dear Madam, I acknowledge receipt of your mail dated 04/04/2008 and I thank you for sending it. I have the pleasure to inform you that the following...
  5. I forgot to say that I also wrote to Bliss. Nothing. Origins sent me an email requesting specific products names. I sent a list to them twice, but I kept getting the same email back. I just give up on that one. Too bad... they also had a big scary bold caps paragraph about how any information in the email was not to be disseminated in any form...
  6. Margaret, how did you find out about origins? I sent them three emails asking about this and I got no information. I am so frustrated! I wrote to over 40 companies and only heard back from about half! For hair I also wrote to: Johnathan Product Korres natural products Phytologie Does anybody know anything about these brands?
  7. Chanel lipstick is gluten free-- if you pan down this forum, you can see I posted an response from them pretty recently. I did not, however, ask about the lipgloss. They answered me back pretty fast, though. Could you please tell us what they say?
  8. They are not all safe-- I got glutened from some kind of cranberry juice in a hotel. It was the only possible thing-- I ate a fresh fruit plate for breakfast. Half an hour later I was sick and broke out in DH blisters. Don't take juices for granted and read the label.
  9. I got a pretty fast response from Sundari (it means "beautiful woman" in Hindi). They have some very nice products-- they are on the more expensive end. Dear Lisa Thank you for your interest in SUND
  10. Here is what Weleda says: Weleda's personal care products, including all oral care products, are free of gluten. Some products are made with Wheat Germ Oil, which does not pose as an allergy concern, as the wheat protein, known as gluten, has been removed. Weleda does use Wheat Starch/Gluten in the production of many medicine tablets. Many Weleda tablets...
  11. I got this response today from Europe. This is a very old French line-- lipsticks, mascara, powder, blush-- it is a very complete line! Woo-hoo! The face powder is rice-based. I am very happy to hear this one. Lisa
  12. I wrote to Korres and Johnathan product-- I got replies from h20+ (no!) and RUSK, as well as L'occitane-- see post. Caudalie shampoo and conditioner is gluten-free. I hope to hear back from more companies soon and I will post the results. Lisa
  13. Here is the reply from GB: Hi Lisa, My name is XXXXX with Garden Botanika Customer Care and thank you for your inquiry. I do know that our lipsticks are gluten free but I would have to check with our chemist on each individual product as we do not have a list at this time. Is there a certain product or products that you are interested in...
  14. Today Aveda sent me this list of UNSAFE products: GLUTEN REFERENCE GUIDE These are the products Aveda manufactures containing gluten. Please be aware, customers that are gluten sensitive may also be sensitive to trace amounts that may be in the processing, packaging, or packing surface of a product. Any customer that is gluten sensitive may...
  15. H2o+ not gluten free! I am becoming a gadfly! I wrote h2o+ back, telling them rice bran is not a problem, but explaining about WOBR and dervied tocopherols. Here is what I got back: From: H2O_Plus_Customer_Service/H2Oplus%H2OPLUS@h2oplus.com Subject: Re: General Size: 6 KB As of now, there are no Gluten Free product lists. Our lab...
  16. L'oreal also confirms that their tocopherols are NOT WOBR derived. The list above is their complete list of gluten-containing ingredients.
  17. I also had to get mine out-- sorry to tell you. I ran a low-grade fever for two years before the doctors finally decided surgery was necessary. I wish you the best of luck. On the plus side, that surgery wasn't really so awful... there are worse ones out there. Lisa
  18. More on 100% pure: Susan informs me that their tocopherol is derived from rice bran. (I asked just to be sure.) She was able to give me this information very quickly. This brand has wonderful products-- if you have never heard of them, click the weblink on susie's email above. They have a lipstick/blush stick multipurpose cosmetic that is really very...
  19. Update on L'occitane. Becuase I was unhappy with their reply, I wrote again, asking about "hidden ingredients" and grains besides wheat. They did a better job this time! So their productsa are okay as long as they don't list wheat: Lisa, We do apologize; we should have elaborated in our original reply to you. We have had prior communication...

  21. Oops.. sorry. I forgot to add that the Stri-vectin eye cream, face cream and hand cream all contain gluten.
  22. Here is the reply I got today from L'occitane. My letters have all been the same-- I tell them I have celiac disease and must use gluten free products. I ask them which of their products are safe for me to use. The results have been enlightening. I have gotten 11 replies so far, to well over 40 inquiiries. They seem to fall into four categories...
  23. This is such an interesting experiment! Here is what Loreal sent me: Thank you for your interest in L'Or
  24. Origins update-- After twice sending them a list of specific products, I was sent a third, identical reply asking me to specify. At the end of their email, there is a BOLD CAPS paragraph saying that any information disclosed may not be disseminated. I think that speaks for itself right there. I will consider orgins a write-off. Into the trash...
  25. I'm waiting for responses on this very question now-- I will post them as I get them. I wrote to over 30 companies yesterday and more today. I have asked some companies like Guerlain, pop beauty, benefit, Aveda, Lancome, Bourjois, Chanel... let's see what they say. I also wrote to companies that do face creams and lotions, as well as shampoos and styling...
