ARCHIVED 'dangerous' Levels Of Arsenic In 10% Of Rice
moldlady replied to irish daveyboy's topic in Related Issues & Disorders
Most of the rice grown in the US is gm long grain over those old cotton fields laced with arsenic. One could possibly switch to short grain brown rice to keep levels low. It seems that more and more of our planet is toxic and we must keep a constant detox going for our bodies no matter what... ML -
Ali is right. One must change the way they eat. Don't feed the fungus. It is basically 3 things. 1) starve the fungus 2) kill it off 3) move the toxins out of the body If after a time, this does not seem to work then you may have heavy metals depressing your immune system and you will have to detox from those too while keeping the fungus under...

Ken, Know the cause covers one aspect of disease and that's fungus. For most of us it is multifactoral. Gluten is a problem for many and it seems to be growing for some reason. Years ago, one never heard of this problem. Heavy metals can also be a serious concern and has to be dealt with before one can have complete health. The continuing condition...

Sugar, SAME WITH ME! Isn't it wonderful to enjoy the scenic route??? I love it. My husband can't believe how excited I am now to take a trip anywhere. In the past I always had to make my ginger tea first and take some with.... or there would be a fight because I did not want to go and feel dizzy sluggish sick feeling the whole time. I have a dear...

moldlady replied to Cinnamon's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
Hi CJS, AC is activated charcoal. Absorbs toxins very well and also gas/bloat. If you are on meds it will absorb that too so do be careful. Take at least 4 hours after meds. ml -

ARCHIVED Medicinal Mushrooms And Autoimmune Disorders
moldlady replied to Cinnamon's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
I agree, it is confusing. I do not eat mushrooms and I do not eat foods that contain fungus in them. Just as a precaution in case the spores or mycelia decide to morph into something that starts to become a problem. There are certain rare types of fungus however that do kill other fungi. These are the specific ones I think that can actually help the immune... -
ARCHIVED Medicinal Mushrooms And Autoimmune Disorders
moldlady replied to Cinnamon's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
Hi Cinnamon, A few mushrooms/fungi have been found to fight other fungi. They will kill off with their mycotoxins the fungus that is living in your body and therefore help your immune system recover. This is a good thing but do go slow as the killing off of fungus in the body no matter how you do it will cause some die off reactions. Go slow and remember... -

I've heard that the instant coffees actually have gluten in them to keep them from caking up and sticking all together. It is not listed on the label. Brew only and see if it still happens. ML

Marly, That is really something how your perception was better. No telling how bad this celiac thing is???? Babysteps, You cracked me up when you said that taxi cabs made you feel like "shaken baby" syndrome. I've felt that way too. ML

Once everything is taken care of, can the adrenals and thyroid bounce back? ML -
Can the adrenals and thyroid bounce back or not?

Good point April. I agree that many of the fibers on the market are too rough for people with bowel issues. I could not take most of them either. Olives and flax seed meal seemed to be the easiest to tolerate and still do the job. ML

Give it a solid week and let us know how you are doing. ML

Liz, I so agree with you. This celiac thing has caused so much more than what I have realized. I try and tell people but they do not believe me. I was at a big banquet last night and ate some pasta forgetting completely that there was white flour in it!!! I'm still getting used to this whole thing. Lucky I only had a small portion. Everything else...

Good advice by everyone so far and I agree.... It takes a while for the body to adjust. Make sure you are drinking pure water first thing in the a.m.... 32 oz. upon rising. then, about a 1/2 hour later eat the breakfast. Have 5-6 black olives at each meal until you are regulated. It takes about a week to get back on track. Exercise, even...

I''m going to try something..... if it doesn't work I'll check to see if they have them at the pharmacy..... thanks ml

Is there a way we can make these bands??? String a bead on to a rubber band link thingy? ML

Hey U.M., I've heard about those bracelets for women in the early stages of morning sickness from pregnancy. So, if I understand you correctly, I have to wear it all the time when driving or when on a ship or flying? I'm all for stuff that works that does not have side effects. What really gets me is when someone is driving and they constantly...

Wow, WTD, IT seemed like your post was cut off near the end. Did you have more to say/rant? I agree with you 100% and I don't think things will change any time soon. There is too much money to be made only treating symptoms and not the disease. That is why even if we are cured we must alert others to what they can do to be well and have their families...

Wow Julie, You have a built in speedometer! I never thought of it that way. I guess like you said the anxiety of not knowing if the driver is taking precaution can add to the sicknesss. That would explain why we do not get this way when driving? Maybe us sickies are really back seat drivers? Must be a combo of things going on... but I do know...

ARCHIVED Candida Overgrowth
moldlady replied to holdthegluten's topic in Food Intolerance & Leaky Gut
April you said a mouthful in a short brief post!!! We have been on antifungals and eating that way for 8 years now. Detoxing from heavy metals (2 years now )... always for the rest of my life. And now no gluten. I can't say that I'm cured ....yet ......but have avoided any nasty diagnosis and two surgeries by eating this way... -
Hi Lisa, I agree with April, black beans are good and make sure no sugar is added. I buy all sorts in a can (water and salt) rinse them well and put them in the crock pot for hours on low setting with water up to the top. After 6-8 hours I rinse them and put in new water and do again 6-8 hours on low. Then I rinse them and use them in salads and other...

Hi Lisa, I'm not Gail but I get my protein from well cooked beans, omega 3 eggs, and a rice protein drink that I make on occasion. The other thing that most don't realize is that every nut and seed contain protein, carbohydrate, and good fat in all the right proportions. I hope this helps, ML
