ARCHIVED Omg...i Might Be On To Something

I went to work coming from SW of there, and until I looked, I'd forgotten that little stretch of the Edens that's E-W!! So yes it's real close to that part. I'd never be on the Edens for the commute. 294 to Techny or Dundee. Officially, UL on Pfingsten, but the grounds were huge and maybe only clients used that entrance. Had a lot of fun there... -

Whoops! I didn't say it quite how I wanted to I guess! There's voltage at room temperature and at any temperature. (No one wants to hear about "absolute zero" do they? Minus273 Kelvin is berry berry cold) The thermocouples are so accurate and precise in that application because the *change* in voltage tracks any temperature changes. Hmmm do I try... -

[Edit - ok it was a double - so the P.S. is now . . . . ] Part Deux! P.S. I hope this doesn't turn into a double-post, but while waiting for the 'post submit' I saw the Dead Like Me reference!!! Switched immed to my ch50 and there it is! I almost mentioned it on another recent day when they also did it all day. Donna!!!!! I LOVE that show! Wish... -

LMAO Avoiding starting a story w/ "hey [the texture of] that brownie reminds me of when I ate . . ." would I'm sure be greatly appreciated by your dining partners. I haven't used the *scatological warning* much (ever?) but it would too weird to tell RL friends that it's amazing to find I'm getting used to regular normal morning bm's, something... -

Hehe lessons certainly req'd for wind instruments and I'm sure just about all instruments. The Triangle? Maybe not. Wood-blocks same. It may be surprising that I think ppl don't really need guitar lessons to get by and sound 'good enough'. A lesson in keeping 6 strings in tune w/ each other may be needed, but an electronic tuner does wonders very... -

Ohhhhhhhhh, I hadn't realized there was anything negative about that. It's a bit of a necessity for me, posting w/ a phone. I get so few sentences per screen, and the process is slow enough as it is. If I didn't break them up I'd spend more time scrolling back & forth than typing or waiting for pages to load. I can only ask that the negative aspect... -

Thank you. And . . ... .. . . Glencoe!!? Wow I worked in neighboring Northbrook for a couple years, at Underwriters Labs! Bet you've driven past that more than a few times. And hehe the pre-posh comment tells me a great deal about your age, doesn't it? Are u still in Chicagoland? Outdoor stage reminds me of Ravinia! (If I weren't "surfs... -

Rachel - I'd like to express that I think u shouldn't change a thing in what & how u post. I've said before I believe it has great value. Most of my own last 5-8yrs, I wouldn't have been able or willing to go find such info on my own, and I'm sure plenty of readers are in that situation, whether we see their names or not. (I know we all see the #s... -

Ok yes I know a little of what went on today. Seems a shame. I was only reading parts while waiting for page loads on this phone. But I saw enough to know it wasn't the same thread we've all come to know and love. (Even at 5 measly weeks I know *this*!) I could've sworn there was a lovefest just days ago. I did see a post from Donna (Hi Donna!)... -

Hi everyone. Well . . . . . . . I had quite a day. I expect everyone here has lost someone they loved. The first anniversary of a death is a different type of day. Since Pat was such an outdoorsman, I went to do a little hike in South Mountain Park here. I haven't been able to even consider a possible hike in I don't know how many years. Discovered... -

Kat - this thread is pretty un-hijackable. It's just not like other threads. Your story didn't feel even remotely off-topic. In fact, thanks for sharing it, heart-breaking and all. I've only been here 5 wks or so, and remember quite well when I realized how fortunate it was to have stumbled upon this thread. While I've been lucky enough to have... -

Does no one but me think candida's underlying cause can be celiac and celiac complications? (Leaky-gut and who knows which of the others) Considering the severity and reach of so many other celiac complications, I can't understand how it can be seen as a stretch to think another complication (candida), in the intestestines[editdit: ooopsps!! LOOL... -

Yup. No doubt about it. I lost interest sooooo long ago. Well before any physical symptoms, I remember our band playing what should be great gigs, big pool parties at some Hilton I think. Fun all around, except I'm on stage totally bored. That aint how it's 'posed-ta-Be. But nowwwwwwwwww . . . .. .playing IS fun again. Surprised a little at how quickly... -

You made an assertion which contradicted my personal experience. I say not all candida cases have some heavy-metal cause. Believe me, you're not the only one who didn't want to go thru all that posting. Ugh - what I wrote every time is completely consistent. Diet day1 improvement for a week (same thing I've said several times, incl today... -

Yup four #s is a lot for any instrument. If I was there w/ my tenor, your 4 #s (E I believe) would be SIX for me! (F#) Way to go tho!! I was thinking earlier how much I hate double-sharps or when they write B# or Cb. I know they gotta do it sometimes to unclutter later in the measure & keep w/ the flow of #s and bs. Like an F## instead of Gnatural... -

I have absolutely zero idea by now which sentence in the 500-1000 words may have addressed this. If it weren't for so many assertions directly contradicting my personal experience on the road to having an actual life, I would've let it slide. Direct vs indirect clarifies two treatment approaches. I believe your use of the word treatment left... -

What's the point of talking like this? I was talking about RED bell peppers being so sweet, while a GREEN bell pepper isn't. The ones that feed candida are . . .not . . . .green anymore. And I'm pretty sure both can be harvested year-round. -

Omg u SO missed what I'm saying. The ND was a great help. After a bad 3days (I'd call them horrible, worst ever, chock-full-o-heinosity if I'd never been thru what I did pre-gluten-free), I was getting better all the time. For all I know, if I did a 12day soy test back THEN (I rechecked, it took 12 not 10), I would've started feeling this *unfathomably... -

Ohhhhh-kay, seems I thought I was being far more clear than I actually was. W/ the topic of supplements to treat candida in what I'd quoted, I used the phrase "direct treatment". Maybe I should've parenthesized "bug killers" next to it. The diet, as we all know, just starves the beast, taking no direct murderous actions. I think of the diet, therefore... -

My own experience w/ candida was pretty short time of direct treatment, except for the diet. Diet very long-term here. I'm not even totally avoiding the detergent aisle anymore. Used to hold my breath if I had to go *near* it. So unless "treatment" in the quote above means diet OR supplements, I'll have to respectfully disagree. No supplements for... -

I didn't know one was on Stevens Creek either. Always went to the Bascom one - straight shot down SW expy for me. I'd guess it's that part of S.Creek that's after it goes under 280 tho (well, from my perspective - usually east of there). So west of 280. Did it really look much bigger from the car than the usual? The ones I've been to seem mostly... -

I do find this latest theory so very interesting. Hadn't heard anything like it before. The way it explains a number of different things w/ one straightforward scenario is what good theories are all about, IMHO. And THEN(!), when it ALSO explains unexpected (surprising even, right?) data like the DMPS halting herx?! Now THAT, ladies & gentlemen...
