It wasn't until the Hawaiian bit that this Sultan of Sloth (d'oh! now I see u said "sloth ~.5km later in this very post. & to think I thought I was being original OK then, how about Rajah of Relaxation? Imam of Idle Indolence? Laggardly Lord of Listlessness even will do in a pinch! ) felt the urge to crash the Luau of Laziness. Grass skirts &... -

Eh no need for sadness. I'm sure you've taken far more drastic and difficult health-related measures in the past, present and future. *STRICT* diet and some pills & powders (from ND) are all it seemed to take me. Oh, and learning to cook! While I don't know all the 'usual suspects' in a case of lenguablanca (hehehe), the clincher has... -

Andrea, I've heard so much about the Casein-Free among us having a decent chance at being ok w/ non-cow milk products, I can't help but ask whether you've tried any for T. I'm actually midway thru a goat feta cheese test right now. Been meaning to mention it and ask if anyone has any experience w/ this sort of thing. It was soooooooooooo tasty... -

Oh Kat! I don't see how that CAN'T be candida. P.S. Oh mee-o-my-o such a flurry of activity this morning. I should be up & out already! ESPECIALLY w/ it only 85 degress so far! Phx in July doesn't DO that! It's been 100 by 10am most of the month. <sweaty emoticon> -

But, gah!!, more wiki? Wiki says gliadin is also in rye & barley, besides the wheat it IS actually in. Bah wiki. Hi Susie. Any climbing lately? I think today's a bball day for me! Monsoon rains cooling it down here - about flippin' time! -

BEV!! WTH is w/ THIS??!!! All I need is an income again so I have a maid again!! ACK!! Bev, stop nearly giving me a heart attack!!! -
GFWF? Hmmmm the W is what? [Edit - lol I bet the W is wheat isn't it? I'm not used to seeing that redundancy. D'oh!] I had no gluten problems w/ Soy Delicious, but there was another issue for me w/ the vanilla. Can't remember if it was annatto coloring, which troubles many celiacs, or just something w/ the vanilla extract's alcohol maybe? Anyway...

Candida albicans overgrowth can do that too. I believe it to be far more common in recently gluten-free celiacs than the publicity, or lack thereof, it seems to get. But if vinegar doesn't also make you uncomfortable, then it's probably not candida. Good luck figuring it out!

Hi Violet! I can barely believe I haven't tried making my own!! I'd seen a SIL make sushi many years ago, and it STILL didn't come to mind! So . . . . . .any tips on where to get fish that's good enough? Or on which to attempt making 1st? Do u do anything special to the rice? I think at a restaurant it's called 'vinegared rice'. Thanks...

I've been eating very few foods for over 2 yrs - gluten-free began over 3.5yrs ago. I've always been fine w/ salmon & eat it very regularly. But . . .. I DO only eat Wild Alaskan. I have no idea what's in the colorings for farmed salmon. I've become familiar w/ the intolerances of a good many ppl on this forum and elsewhere and I can't think...

Well, J, I appreciate the point - and it's that train of thought that led me to ask the Q in the 1st place. Can there be a difference in the laws regarding currency which is dependent on denomination? Nobody would mind a trail of dollar coins. "In for a penny, in for a . .. . . uhhhh is a pound around $2.70-ish these days?" Hmmmm... -

Nikkinikkinikkinikkinikki . . . . . . This is getting all mixed up! In accordance w/ the prophecy, Thoust who droppeth copper, shalt NOT also retrieveth it. I'm dumping pennies cuz they're too useless!! And hehehe, sometimes I *put* a dime or nickel into the payphone coin-return slots LOL <re-aiming overbright light into... -

Oops!!! <Emily Litella voice> "Never miiiiiind!!" Hehe I have a game w/ license plate letters. Must create a word, w/ as few letters as possible, and as many adjacent letters (to match the plate) as possible. There's a points system, but not actual points LOL. I just know which word would score higher. The hardest have a J in the... -

LMAO I figured a few would get it, and others would assume it's just my alleged "speaking in riddles" and move on. I CERTainly never imagined it being *QUOTED* and discussed!!!! ROFL!! It's been around forever, as far as I'm concerned and I was online before the WEB was!!! It was all BBS and no links. Had to hang up modem and have it redial the ... -

I still don't get how "twin" relates to "Doubting Thomas". A healthy skepticism I *get*, but Twin?? Heehee it wasn't really 3am. I have no clue as to how a complex sotfware pgm like a forum, w/ all the features we see, can fail to know what TIME it is, but somehow it doesn't. At first I thought it was just not following Daylight Savings... -

I wish you could afford them too! Dang those lottery gods ignoring my non-jackpot request to start an R'ville Health Fund!! Stirring - I realized I may have started pouring off the oil just to skip the stirring!! It would've been a 2 step biggest-workout-of-the-day for me too, before the soy-deprivation began. No way I would've gotten thru it all... -

LOL I meant for the preamble-type sentence to explain it. (Non-applicable if u responded b4 I realized my error and added preamble, but the timestamp says otherwise) I mistakenly pasted quotes and replies from Tickle thread, while doing my manual version of that fancy-shmancy stacking QUOTE button that every PC user can take advantage of. So... -

1st, . . . . .. . YAY!! 2nd, what brand is this? Seems I could file it under "safest possible applesauce". Heehee 3rd, when I started having having normal morning BMs last month, I'd find there'd sometimes be an involuntary audible "yay" or "woohoo". It's not like there's anyone to talk to. And while it would be just a medium volume "yay", I'd... -
Definitely cut out dairy for awhile to see what happens. With lactose, the issue is that the corresponding enzyme, lactase, is secreted from the tips of the villi. Every celiac w/ significant damage (flattened villi) will have lactose problems. As the villi repair, it'll be less and less a problem. BUT, there's another milk issue too. The milk protein...

Jumping back a bit . . . . . I'm curious now - what thread? Yay someone newer than me!!
