    I was unscathed by fumes (yay!) & glad I went. And correctomundo on the Escovedos - most stuck w/ Latin Jazz but her brother Alejandro is a critically-acclaimed rocker in Austin. AZ has weight on license, but how weird is it that mine wouldn't expire until 2027?!!

    I think it can cause harm by giving a Celiac a false sense of security, leading to riskier eating, which leads to more damage. I don't think there's a way to know whether glutenease is effective at reducing cc symptoms, since practically by definition, ppl w/out a reaction don't know whether they've been cc'd.     Lower? .. .. . huh ... ....aren't all the endoscopies done on the upper intestine? Sounds like something that would be so easy to prove w/ double-blind trials. Why hasn't the company done any? Or maybe it's safer to say "Why haven't they published any?"

    That 'after 5pm' part is so hard to figure. I don't suppose there's anything you typically ingest right when you get home is there? Is something environmental possible? If you actually ARE celiac, it's common to need to be dairy-free for 6mos or so. It's good you're doing a food diary and it may yet show some correlation. Some ppl find things...

    San Jose's fine. Even when the Bay Area was at its worst, more than a wk ago, SJ was much better than most. Monterey's been up & down, solely dependant on the wind direction. There are 2 big fires to the south, in Big Sur & Los Padres, known as the Basin Complex fire & the Indians fire respectively. I *think* the wind isn't often bringing...
