  1. Even I agree w/ this. It's like there's more built-in compassion. Arrrrrrrgh Sarah - strep too!? Bah! Susie, the reading thing sounds great. I can imagine, if I tried it, goofing around w/ them too much & getting in trouble w/ the teacher. Ewwwwww!! OMG!!! I couldn't stop laughing until I hit the [bACK] button!...

  4. My money's on Travel-D being in the past. Ooooohhhhhh yeah!! A long-ago (1981?) dorm roommate was from Wildwood. Wish I could remember the name of his parents' restaurant ... ..might be an unimaginative Wildwood Cafe or Diner. Hmmm Bah, ugh, oh no, & Yipes!!! How's Ez now? Let the Tootsies Breathe!!!!!! ...
  5. Winter Games suit you better imco (in my california opinion). Ahhh the generousity amongst the Sillies (Em gets a pass on grammer[sic] & all things dangling this week) Uh-oh true Fanhood rears its head Isn't Absinthe one of the luckier libations? I'll root for Senators, despite the wimpy name, until they face the Sharks...
  6. I had the peripheral flashes for a while last year - strangely years after going gluten-free. Never tracked down a cause, tho I haven't had them since - called photopsia, I believe, in my case. My mom was having VERY strange visual disturbances when glutened - it finally convinced her to be vigilantly 100% gluten-free.
  7. The school of hard kn.. .. I ain't spellin' it out! No way no how!! <fire> The only North American Olympic Torch run is right now in SF. I'm watching and they just restarted after this elaborate bus/van escape from the planned route to Van Ness Blvd . ..miles away!! I've been saying for years, since the very DAY China...

  9. Nik, I'm not even certain what vowel is missing in sl*g, but I think I've heard it w/ an a, which, here, primarily refers to some material in an intermediary stage in the production of steel. <I think> D.F.I. rooooolz!!!!!! <snarl> Such an Avatease P.S. As appropriate as my wormatar is, I can't keep him...
  10. Ah you already know Picazzo's I've heard of at least 2 other gluten-free-friendly places - last year I ended 2 yrs of living in Phx. But I can't recall them at all. I'm quite sure I heard of them thru the Phx (or AZ) Celiac group on Yahoo, but can't find the link. Should be easy to find. (I'd do it for you if not browsing on a phone) Here...
  11. Speaking of hockey (whaaaaaaaa.....? ), seems kind of a shame that I'm not into it, w/ expectations so high for the team that plays blocks away. GO SHARKS anyway!!!!!!! P.S. Oh yeah!!! If he's a map-lover like I am, it'll be used & enjoyed for decades to come! True dat .. . ...so jealous at the very proposal!! Imagine if 6 or more Sillies actually ARE in one...
  16. I think it's often a problem w/ eating certain foods. 2 of the possible causes are food intolerances and candida overgrowth, both of which I've had. Are you also dairy-free and soy-free? If not, I'd say start there. Nearly every celiac starting gluten-free should also be dairy-free for a few months.
  17. Oh Katy Katy Katy .. . . .a Random Question would be "What's your favorite balloon animal?" or "Did anyone use Numerology to choose their major in college?" or "Does the dirt near work taste different than that at home?" Annnnnnnyway .. . .I also don't think Leaky Gut feels like anything. That's probably part of the problem. Alba Therapeutics has...
  18. Weird how very different it is for each of us. I was only a bit nauseous on the 1st day .. ..maybe also 2nd or 3rd. Not sure what to make of the current non-nausea lack of appetite, but I hope it doesn't last all 30 days. Lonewolf, I'd blow off the 30min rule too if the alternative were probable vomiting. The herbs sure won't do any good if they don...
  19. So here I am angry about having to go get MORE cigarettes. Not angry at myself. Maybe angry at them, interrupting the near-nothing I was doing. Another step towards being ready to be a <gasp> non-smoker. Should we plan on 2010? Maybe aught-nine . .. WHOA!!!!! I wanna go!!!! <you guys sure live far> ...
  20. Little Update - day8 & nothing interesting to report, tho I seem to feel a little off a lot of the time. Wondering whether anyone else having appetite trouble. I even ended up skipping dinner a couple times. It seems fine in the daytime, but at night I just feel like I have to force myself to eat. That used to be common for me, but then it was largely...
  21. Hey there Silly Ones I HAVE been feeling kinda off here & there, but not too bad really. 24. Yuck .. . . ..sounds like it needed to be rinsed. I've had quinoa a good number of times & never thought that - liked it every time. I've seen my 2 young nephews enjoy it, prepared plainly even, and I'm quite sure they're anti-sourdirt! P.S. I love the flakes as a coating for fish. 1st I dredge in quinoa flour, then egg, then the flakes...
