    LOL Em! So yay! I met yolo!! We talked for close to 2 hrs and plan to do it again. And I expect to attend some art, poetry & musical jam session gatherings that friends of hers organize. I've never been that big on poetry which isn't actually lyrics, but hey, maybe I'll dig it AND there's jamming afterwards!!

    I got a TON better mentally w/ gluten-free, but it wasn't until I was diary-free AND soy-free (bunch of other things -free also, but I think these 2 were the culprits mentally) that the brainfog completely left.

    Egads I wish I knew who to credit for this quote/info, but I just copied it over from another thread a couple days ago. He or she wrote, in response to a similar inquiry: "You should have a bone density scan done and also get checked for anemia if you haven't already. It would be helpful if your doctor would check your folate, B12 and calcium levels...

    No hair loss here, but certainly a heavy load of anxiety & depression WELL before GI symptoms & all the other subsequent physical & mental horrors. Have you thought of just trying the gluten-free diet?

    Malt or malt flavoring etc still mean barley as far as I know, and the Top 8 allergen law doesn't require anyone to call attn to the fact that it's gluten. It's nice to know that some companies DO call attn to gluten in all its forms, tho.

    That's up there w/ the craziest things I'VE ever heard a Dr say!! At least it's not harmful or dangerous, unlike some other statements Dr.s have made. Certainly a new one tho. Never heard anyone talking about gluten-free sugar!
