  1. Might be better to look at it like he was considering the McDonald’s meal as his last. Under such circumstances he may have wanted it over a gluten-free meal. What would you eat if you thought you might die? Still not advisable by Celiac.com or any doctor, but hopefully none of us ever end up in his shoes and are faced with such a choice.
  2. I do recall the "gluten-free" signs, and even sections, which are still in some markets. It did make things easier to find, and I also wonder why Amazon would stop this practice. Perhaps there are so many more gluten-free products now than there was 10 years ago? That would be my guess. We also now have gluten-free on labels, as well as certified gluten-free...
  3. Celiac.com 05/26/2020 - One of the most popular questions we get is: Which grains are safe for people with celiac disease, and which are not? Unsafe Non-Gluten-Free Grains for Celiacs Wheat, Rye and Barley and comprise the short...
  4. yes, unfortunately he supports the polling evidence that about 25% of celiac’s cheat on their diets....but shouldn’t!
  5. Celiac.com 05/25/2020 - A food survey in India found that ten percent of grain-based foods labelled "gluten-free," and more than one-third of products that are "naturally gluten-free," have been found to be contaminated with gluten, with...
  6. Were you on a gluten-free diet before taking the blood test? If so, that may have caused the DGP test to be negative. At this point you should still be eating gluten daily until all tests are completed. If it’s too difficult to do this then then the current results may be enough for you to stay in a lifelong gluten-free diet. Going this route may exclude y...
  7. Healing can take months to years, and you may react to many things that don't contain gluten, but cause issues. I recommend going through this topic:
  8. Can you clarify what you mean here...do you mean the Safeway brand "365"? If so, this would be determined on a product by product basis.
  9. Welcome to the forum! Your symptoms certainly sound consistent with celiac disease, so I can see how you found your way here. This article lays out blood test procedures, including those for IgA deficient people: Hopefully you can get re-tested if that was not taken into account.
  10. Anything could be cross contaminated, but I've not heard of issues with lentils. Can you tell me how you know they are contaminated? It seems like a good visual inspection and washing should eliminate any issues, but certainly finding a source that is guaranteed to be safe would be the best way to go.
  11. We've never offered this list, but have you tried contacting the support group directly? They are on our list:
  12. Celiac.com 05/22/2020 - If you're looking for a hearty, savory dish that will help you weather the Covid lockdown with a smiling face and happy tummy, then look no further. This delicious Italian stew comes to us from Chef John over at...
  13. Celiac disease can certainly cause gut pain, and in my case it was focused on my lower right side, but it can be different in different people. Of course your pain could be related to something else, especially if you have been gluten-free for a while, so be sure to discuss it with your doctor to rule out other causes. As you know, you need to be eating...
  14. I’m not 100% sure if you mean Costco’s tuna or Walmart‘s, because in the subject you listed Kirkland, which is Costco and not Walmart. The tuna sold by Walmart is gluten-free: https://www.walmart.com/ip/Great-Value-Chunk-Light-Tuna-in-Water-5-Oz/11965048

  16. There seems to be a connect with celiac disease and a lot of autoimmune diseases, and it appears that those with Autism are 20 times more likely to have celiac disease: We have more studies on this here: /celiac-disease/celiac-disease-amp-related-diseases-and-disorders/autism-and-celiac-disease/
  17. Celiac.com 05/20/2020 - After seeing her doors closed and her gluten-free cosmetic production stopped, due to coronavirus, a cosmetics entrepreneur is now making up to 1,000 bottles of gluten-free hand sanitizer every day to fight the...
  18. I looked at one of their colors, black, and I do not see any ingredients that would contain gluten. It does look like they list the ingredients for each of their colors on their website: https://www.livecolour.com/our-products/intense-colour/099-deep-black
  19. If this is the sauce you mean, I could not tell because they do not list their ingredients. I would not eat it until you call them. Please let us know. https://spursauces.co.za/products/steak-sauce/
  20. We do not keep such a list, but I think this list include casein/milk as well: http://glutenfreedrugs.com/newlist.htm
