The North American Society for the Study of Celiac Disease (NASSCD) today announced a call for all restaurants and food manufacturers to properly label gluten-free products to avoid confusion that has the potential to threaten the health of people with celiac disease. I just posted the anti-Amber NFCA petition on Domino's Facebook page...let's see how long it lasts...
-
Ok, my post is now officially deleted from Domino's Facebook page.
-
On change.org there is a "Ditch the Amber" petition protesting the NFCA's promotion of Domino's "faux gluten-free" pizza: www.change.org/petitions/ditch-nfca-s-amber-designation# See also the GIG website www.gluten.net for more information.

I agree...big companies like this want to cash in now on the gluten-free market, even if they can't really offer something gluten-free. I still can't believe that the NFCA backs this, but am really glad to see Dr. Fasano and the GIG take the correct side here, as this is really a serious set back, rather than a step forward. I don't think that Domino's understands...

You should then be able to save it to your local computer, and remember the location you save it to.Click...

Screen shots are best...please try to take them of the comments you made...and post them here.
-
So both Domino's and the NFCA are now deleting negative comments, although Domino's is doing it way more. Can you all please: Make comments at both sites about how you feel, and take screen shots of them and post them here if they get deleted? To take a screen shot there is a print screen button on your key board, and some may need to hit the function/print...

So we are only one week into launch, training is supposed to have been done according to the NFCA, and this is what we get? Imagine a year from now??? I am for starting a campaign to pressure Domino's to stop using the term "gluten-free", and for pressuring the NFCA to remove Domino's certification...who is with me? Scott

Well, your blog does not exist. Is Domino's being honest when their headline uses the term "gluten-free crust" in it? Do you really think that when college celiacs call in to order it that they are going to read a disclaimer to them and let them know that the end product really isn't gluten-free? Also, what is the NCFA's role? Is it to help big corporations...

Just FYI I did a blog on this subject on Celiac.com as I felt it was an important topic: https://www.celiac.com/blogs/358/Dominos-Pizza-Now-Offers-Almost-Gluten-Free-Pizza-So-Be-Careful.html
