    Hi, i had a slightly different issue with my tests, positive bloods but negative biopsy, but you are right, there is a high rate of false negatives in coeliac, especially in young children. If you and you son feel better without gluten then there is obvously a problem, no matter what the tests say and well done to you for having the initative to try the diet...

    never had this problem with my mom... infact totaly the opposite, she's really supportive and so are the rest of my family. its my freinds that are the problem for me. As for getting your mom to understand, print out facts, get her to look here and/or call your dr and get him to talk to her, she needs to understand that she is going to make you seriously...

    for me it usually takes about 10-15 mins but it varies for each of us some take hours and sometimes days to feel the full effects. Feel better soon!

    thankyou for you help. The problem with CAT scans is that the waiting list is about 8 months long for non-emergancy patients and i really dont know if i will be able to cope for that long. I havent seen a gyn doc but will seriously consider it. Thankyou!

    It can take up to a year or more for the body to fully recover, so at this point in time it is likely that it is still the coeliac causing your symptoms. Make sure your not getting gluten from any hidden sources, check shampoo's toiletries and foods like sausages that could contain hidden gluten. Be aware that just because something says sutible for coeliacs...

    For the past 9 months ive had chronic and sharp pain in my right lower abdomen and im starting to get really concerened, when the pain does go away its only for a few hours and then its back again .     I know part of it was jeaslousy ("omg you could eat a normal cake and loose weight? lucky you" my reaction : yea if i wanna end up with cancer) but the freind that said that on the bus genuinely did think im annorexic, but shes not the quickest of people, taking into account that she asked if coeliac is contageous.

    There was a bomb scare in London last year, the airport police got a tip off that 3 flights were going to be bombed using liquid bombs, its only in the last few months that restrictions have gone back to normal.

    Thanks. I havent tried food enzymes, i dont know where to get them in the UK and my pearents tend to discourage us (me my sisters and brother) from taking too many supplements.     Yea, i know what you mean, i was glutened in school(accidently) and i tried telling the receptionist and she just kept asking questions, then told me i couldnt possibly be having a reaction that quickly (i dont think shes ever seen a reaction of any type).     the sad thing is, i cant really say to my freinds that if they had coeliac they wouldnt have a choice, because my dad has probably got it and is already hinting that he might not go completly gluten-free " just because i see the doctor doesnt mean i have to listen to them", im not sure how much he means but i know for a fact if i had that attitude he'd give...
