  1. Thank you He's my pet. He's a Maltese and will be 2 in Feb. About 10 lbs and doesn't shed. Great personality. We LOVE him.
  2. Why would they even risk it? My opinion is make them all out of the corn starch and keep it that way.
  3. Many of their product contain "natural flavorings"... and they just can't tell you what they are at any given time.
  4. Does turkey apply to this as well? Gretchen
  5. Now, he could be intolerant to soy and/or lactose (sugar protein found in milk), which isn't uncommon. Which brand of soy milk do you use? Gretchen
  6. What a great idea about the guar gum!!
  7. I wish I knew... if it weren't for the Antireticulin (abbrev. ARA), I'd say you were negative. But, more importantly is what type of symptoms are you having and are you currently on a gluten-free diet? Gretchen
  8. Hi Gretchen, Thank you for writing. We apologize that we cannot provide you with the information you are requesting. Because our products are formulated for use by the majority of our consumers, and not specifically for those on restricted diets, it is possible our product formulations may change at any time. As a result, we cannot provide a list...

    ARCHIVED Ladies Only

Jill, I thought that is what you were inferring However, I don't know what the answer to this would be. It's a good question. Gretchen
  11. Hello Sara! I'm not Jewish but I grew up in NY near the jewish delies.. yum, yum, yum!! I so miss a good knish.. would you happen to have a recipe? Gretchen
  12. I have wondered this same thing. I also wonder about the autoimmune response to gluten because I don't believe that all who have leaky gut experience it... but, I could be wrong. In the event that you have leaky gut, how would you be able to ensure that no gluten proteins are leaking through your intestinal wall? I'm assuming in this case that it would...
  13. Yeah, that stuff is expensive.. it cost me about $12 too. I'd like to know where other's are able to get it for less of an expense. I think they use xanthum gum in ice cream, so it's not that it's a rarely used ingredient. Gretchen

    ARCHIVED Mouth Sores

I have a question in regards to mouth sores as well. I never thought I'd post under this topic as a question, because I've never had the 100 sore breakouts that many of you have had. I have had canker sores, now and then... usually one at a time and then not very frequently (maybe a few times a year)... is even that more than should be normal (non-celiac...
  15. Hello! I'm pre-diet as well and I have the same thing occur... up's and down's of symptoms. I believe mine is totally stress-related, but I'm just not sure. When my system is upset, I also have a dramatic increase in lactose intolerance. Gretchen
  16. I believe they are one and the same. Gretchen
  17. First thing my doctor asked me when I told him I was getting dizziness / vertigo was if there was a chance I was pregnant. I'm not, but apparently is a frequent occurance if you're pregnant. Just thought I'd mention that. Gretchen
  18. I too have had dizzy spells / bouts of vertigo and visited my physician regarding it recently. Sometimes they will last a day, sometimes for a week and it varies in intensity. My doctor ran some blood tests to check my complete metabolic panel, thyroid, sugar, etc, etc and found nothing unusual (it figures). I have heard that there is a connection with...
  19. I wanted to write a follow-up to my visit to the Richmond GIG today with Dr. Fasano guest speaking. If I can say anything, it was a wonderful experience being around fellow celiacs & gluten intolerants. Many brought baked gluten-free goodies and there was lots of literature, etc. If you ever have the chance to visit a support group, I'd highly...
  20. Hello Carrie and welcome. I experience changing symptoms as well, but what makes it really strange in my case is that I haven't changed my diet yet and it's still happening. Stress seems to play an important role for me. I have no doubts that symptoms can vary. Sometimes I have "D", sometimes I have bloating, sometimes I'm fatigued and every now and...
  21. This is an interesting topic. My antibody levels have been consistently on the rise and I have made no changes yet to my diet (I'm still gettting tests done). But, I have found that my symptoms have been getting better and almost reversing. Where I had "D" frequently, I know have bloating. Talk about confusing! Also, I'm less sensitive to milk...
  22. Intolerance can lead to celiac, especially in individuals who are genetically pre-disposed. I'm sure that in some, celiac never develops. There are some here that were intolerant and didn't go gluten-free and then developed celiac year's later. Gretchen
  23. Here is their website: Open Original Shared Link Some insurance companies will actually allow reimbursements (see their FAQ page for the diagnostic codes, etc). My insurance company won't reimburse since the tests are not performed in a medical setting... however, not having to go to a doctor's office to get blood drawn in my opinion is a good thing...
  24. I have been using the Emer-gen-C vitamins since Rebecca's recommendation and I have felt great ever since (about a week or two). I too have been suffering from extreme listlessness & mental fatigue and haven't had a problem since. The vitamins are in a powder form and are loaded with the B & C vitamins, among some others. My fiance and...
  25. Good luck, celiac3270! I hope so much that you get some answers to your continued symptoms. I'll be thinking about you! Gretchen
