    Mine also gets worse just before and during my period. I have always thought that it has something to do with the uterus getting swollen and pushing up against the bowels to irritate them or generally just making less room in there.     This could very well be true. The point others are trying to get across is that when doctors take the biopsy, it is basically hit or miss. Imagine this: Compare the patchy damage that is inside your intestines to a rash that is on someone's back.
