  1. Hey Mayor, Just checking to see how you are this morning....... Hugs. Karen
  2. Mine also gets worse just before and during my period. I have always thought that it has something to do with the uterus getting swollen and pushing up against the bowels to irritate them or generally just making less room in there. Try to find out what your safe food is. When my bowels are really bad, the only food I can eat without it making it hurt...
  3. We're just the tip of the iceberg........ I firmly believe that there are millions of people walking around with either celiac disease, gluten intolerance or gluten sensitivity and haven't a clue as to why there have all these different ailments that are unexplained..... I also firmly believe that the current knowledge of celiac disease, gluten...
  4. Rhiannon is 7 - she will be 8 in September. Her face is painted because we had the kids to the circus that day. The black strap is her immobilizer she has to wear because of her broken collarbone. It's healing nicely except for the fact that she was playing tag today with Daniel and they collided and Rhiannon went down - ON THE BAD SHOULDER!!!! So she...

In regards to posting pictures, what you need to do it download the picture on www.villagephotos.com, then copy the link to here (copy and paste)...... Example: Here is a pic of Rhiannon: http://img.villagephotos...
  6. I have had three episodes of kidney stones, but that's all...... Karen
  7. What are you talking about, can you come visit? YOU'RE THE MAYOR!!!!! Just curious, do you have the sensation of what feels like a bug crawling on you, but there is nothing there? I had that all over my body also when I was going off Rivotril...... obviously coming off some drugs makes the nerve endings go haywire, I guess..... Hugs. Karen
  8. Hi Canadiangal, You just described my life to a tee! From what you have described, I have lived several years of my life like that. My diarrhea is also very nocturnal, has me up most nights. It usually will wake me up around 2 a.m., be very, very active until around 5 or 6 a.m., with alot of abdominal pain in between the explosive diarrhea. I would...
  9. Hi Lisa! Just wanted to chime in to say that I think you are on the right track and it is Lexapro withdrawal.... I can remember one time years ago when I stopped taking Rivotril, holy crap, I thought I was going to die! It literally felt like someone had a tie around my neck, and wrists, and it was getting tighter and tighter by the minute! I...
  10. This could very well be true. The point others are trying to get across is that when doctors take the biopsy, it is basically hit or miss. Imagine this: Compare the patchy damage that is inside your intestines to a rash that is on someone's back. Now, if the doctor is blindfolded and just points the biopsy claw towards the back and takes a sample, it...
  11. Will be thinking of you tomorrow, try to relax, although I know it is hard..... Make sure you post when you get back to tell us how you are..... Hugs. Karen
  12. Regarding this Ed Snider guy, all I can say is "The Lord works in mysterious ways........" Hugs. Karen
  13. Hey Judy Darlink! e-mailed you lots of good wishes and healthy vibes....... (I threw my back out again a few days ago so haven't been able to sit at computer for any period of time, so I have been out of touch...... icing it right now and trying some suggestions Lynne gave me to see if it helps..... Good luck tomorrow! Hugs. Karen
  14. Their gluten free dessert is called "The Thunder from Down Under", and it is an experience unlike you will have ever imagined!!!! I swear I almost had an out of body experience savouring that thing!!!! Karen
  15. My stepmother had a heart attack last month. She has always had bowel issues, is of British descent, and has never previously had any heart issues. She has had a shunt put in and the blood is flowing through again, but she continues to have difficulties. Her heart specialist can't see any reason why she would continue to have the pains that she is having...
  16. Could you possibly have been bitten by a deer tick? Does the circular rash look like a bullseye? Karen
  17. Judy and Armetta, Keeping both you guys in my prayers....... Judy, after the night and day I just went through, I sure as heck felt like giving up today....... This too shall pass..... Luv ya's Karen
  18. Don't make me drive down there to make sure you stay off it!!!! Armetta, thank God you have turned the corner..... Luv ya both, Karen
  19. Sending lots and lots of get well vibes and hugs from Canada!!!! Just make sure you don't mess around with it too much - I mean, if it gets to a certain point, GET THE IV!!!!! 20. I would be heaving at the thought as soon as I swallowed them - kinda like a Fear Factor episode!
  21. Open Original Shared Link Karen
  22. If they cooked it in the same pan as they cook their regular stuff, CC most certainly would be the culprit.....
  23. Judy, You make sure you remember what I told you last night: "DON'T MAKE ME COME DOWN THERE!!!!" The minute it gets worse, get your butt up to ER pronto! Ya know, I have never even heard of this "cellutitis" before, but it seems every single celiac has had a bout of it..... interesting...... definitely a connection, eh? Hugs. Karen
  24. Well, since you will be catering to people with other food intolerances: The "I'm on a Special Diet" Health Food Store or "The Search Stops Here" Specialty Health Food Store
