  1. MSFL, From here on out, let's concentrate on getting you back on track health wise and the rest will take care of itself..... When I was at my lowest point, the only thing I could eat (and the same holds true when I am glutened) is potatoes. Mashed potatoes, boiled potatoes, even french fries for me were okay. That is the ONLY food that does not...
  2. What's wrong VydorScope, all of a sudden unable to concentrate? Karen
  3. It's definitely the most detailed and comprehensive explanation about what has happened to wheat and also about gene pools that I have ever seen...... Karen
  4. Beverly, Sounds like you hit the jackpot!!! It sounds like you are in really good hands with her! I am so happy! It is rare indeed to find a doctor like that. Hugs. Karen

  6. That's another good point. I think the way women's bodies are made, leave us much more prone to autoimmune diseases. I wonder if that has something to do with the fact that our bodies must accomodate a foreign substance when having a baby. Maybe our immune systems get kind of "confused"..... "Hey, she got a kid in there or not? Are we allowed to attack...
  7. Of course I am still talking you to - I am Canadian, remember? If it gets too hot for you, you can alway plead temporary insanity after reading how MSFL was treated.... Anyway, about my glutening.... What caused it? Carelessness, stupidity........ I had a craving for Planters Dry Roasted Peanuts after reading the thread on them last week...
  8. Hey Stef! Tsunami..... is that the word you were looking for? I think celiachap pushed alot of us past our point of toleration. I sincerely hope we can help MSFL get through this and give him the support and encouragement this board is famous for..... Lord knows, his initiation into the group has been controversial!!! Hugs as always, Karen
  9. Thanks, Laura, little by little...... I could slap myself silly for being so careless... Hugs. Karen
  10. Boy, do I hear ya! Can you spell I-N-C-R-E-D-I-B-L-E H-U-L-K ??? That's me...... You have a very good point. Do you know that from the time that Terry and I started dating (1988) to this point in our marriage (13 years married now), he has never once gone to a family doctor? In fact, when I first met Terry, he had over 9 years perfect attendance...
  11. Perhaps you just get exposed to more men than women in your daily lifestyle. i.e. your buddies bonding over a football game, buddies at work, etc. etc.
  12. I believe there was a full moon recently, which would explain many things..... Karen
  13. Wow guys, I do believe we have a troll!!! Pesky, aren't they...... Karen
  14. I also sometimes get extreme pain in my left elbow. When I go to lean on it for anything, it absolutely collapses and it's so painful it feels like it is going to break. What's weirder is that my bone density test indicated my bones are strong..... Karen
  15. Another section to look under is the What's New section. Just click on the top "What's New" and all the different months will come up. Under each month, there are recipes in there also....... Karen
  16. They tried to convince me that I had DeQuervain's Syndrome, but I knew it was celiac realted...... Karen
  17. I have already reported to Scott that I think numerous responses in this thread are inappropriate. I saw your thread proposing a Men's only forum. I'm not sure how it would work though. When we women have "women issues", we post our problem and put "women only" in the thread title. That in no way makes it confidential though. Men would be able to...
  18. I also have that, only in the right. It is especially tender around the thumb joint, even to touch it or push the thumb in even the slightest sends a knife like jab right through the hand up the arm..... It comes and goes for me.... Karen
  19. Hi! Me too. Celiac and hypothryoidism. It is quite common actually.... Here is a really good thread discussing it..... Open Original Shared Link Happy reading! Karen
  20. Oh yeah, forgot to mention something (as I mentioned in another thread, I got glutened for the first time in a VERY long time and right now my brain consists of 30 roasted marshmallows instead of a brain, but that's another story....) Did I mention that when I was in my early 20's, fully glutening myself and unknowingly poisoning myself, and also suffering...
  21. Hi MSFL, Just wanted to chime in (albeit late, obviously), so make sure your understand that any questions you have, and I mean ANY, will be welcomed here and friendly support won't be long coming. I never checked, but does this forum have an "ignore" button? Use it....... (but not on me!!!) You have to get down to brass tacks and go through...
  22. Melissa Please don't ever think that you are going to get jumped on here for "falling off the wagon"!!! We are a support group (albeit, a cyber space one, but still a support group) and jumping all over you when you are down would be more cruelty than I think anyone here is capable of!! We're here to help, not judge. Now, I am probably going to take...
  23. Elfkin, All I can say is that you must be Wonder Woman. I would have dropped long ago carrying the load that you do. My hat's off to you, even though you don't realize it, you are an amazingly strong human being! Hugs and strength vibes being sent to you, Karen
  24. I am so glad you got checked out and figured out what it was. I thought it kinda sounded fallopian tubish....LOL! Hope you are feeling better really soon! Hugs. Karen
  25. {{{{{{{{{{HUGS}}}}}}}}}}}} You are right, there is always next month. You are just at the beginning of this exciting journey! Hugs. Karen
