ARCHIVED What Symptoms Do You Get If You Eat Gluton?
curlyfries replied to wolfee's topic in Introduce Yourself / Share Stuff
For many people it's the same symptoms they had before going gluten free, but then there are those that develop entirely different symptoms. For me it's mostly the stomach pain. -
ARCHIVED Food Glaze
curlyfries replied to radgirl's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
Usually vitamins that are coated don't really break down as well. So they don't absorb into your body very well and you don't get as much benefit from them compared to vitamins that are not coated. -

First , of course, my stomach aches, gas and bloating are gone. I have...so far....lost 20 lbs. (YAY!!) My mind is so much clearer and sharper. It's strange, because I love to swing dance, and I've suddenly become much better at following guys leads! My mind can focus much better than before, and I have so much more energy! In the past I had so many projects... -

Edna's been busy at my house....don't know if I can spare her at the moment.....(gotta warn ya, though...she works awefully slow) Sven is here too, pulling up all the carpet......(Yeti never showed up) It took a while before I could get on, also -

Are you talking about the Gluten Free Mall?.....I'm confused -
I definitely went thru the moodiness. My kids are grown and I had settled into a mindset of "I don't feel like cooking anymore". Eating out more, takeout and simpler meals at home was my plan. After all those years of feeding a family, I deserve it. Then WHAM!.....celiac puts a kink in those plans. Now I have to spend more time than I ever wanted just THINKING...

ARCHIVED Blemishes And Breakouts
curlyfries replied to sandpiper's topic in Related Issues & Disorders
I ordered on line. Check out their web site and then see if you have any questions that weren't answered there. I don't do a lot of sugar either, no desserts at all, but I know I get it in things like store-bought spaghetti sauce. Before going gluten free, caffeine definitely made me break out and probably still would. -

So glad you could find a little comfort here ........but it's not the same without you. This is the wrong place to find normalcy!!!!!!! So......Zeus had watery D for 4 days straight and I think I might know why..............Last week while fixing dinner I dropped a big chunk of raw hamburger on the floor, which he quickly claimed. And... -

It's pig latin. We used to use it as kids like some sort of secret code, thinking other people wouldn't understand us. I guess it would work well in the UK? Take the fist consonant or consonant blend of a word and put it at the end, adding *ay*. If a vowel starts the word, just add the *ay* only. Your name would be *ikki-nay*!!! -
ARCHIVED Velveeta Cheese
curlyfries replied to souzahanson's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
Velveeta is safe. I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that the only time maltodextrin could possibly be a problem is if the product was made outside of the US. Someone correct me if I'm wrong on that. -

Uuuggghhhh!!!! I see this all the time at the middle school. When we get them back their minds and bodies are out of wack from being off their meds and then back on. It takes days for their behavior to get back on track, and some have constant head or stomach aches. It's definitely not good for them. I also have hearing-impaired students who don't have to... -

Go to the Gluten Free Foods, Products.....forum and look for the thread on Everyday Minerals. I haven't tried it yet but I put my order in last week. You can get a free sample pack and from what I've read, you can do that more than once. I have been having more trouble than usual with acne lately, and I believe it is being caused by sugar.....including fruit... -

I had to eliminate dairy. Hopefully it is only temporary....after I heal. I also had to eliminate sugar......including fruit. These seem to bring the GERD back. Some people also have to eliminate soy. The food diary is a good idea. That is how I discovered my problems. -
