  1. just wanted to give an update! 5 days gluten free and he just had his first ever normal bm!!! it was totally normal but he strained as if he was constipated... I'm thinking just because he has never used those bowel muscles before... I am excited.. .first the difference in behavior and now this!
  2. I have erosion in pretty much every tooth in my mouth and it came on suddenly, I also have white spots on my teeth which I just got repaired (can still see them but they aren't as noticable as they were) I'm constantly gassy and I have been perpetually constipated bordering on obstipation for the last at least 5 years... I have many other symptoms that you...
  3. I may be wrong about this and I myself have not been diagnosed yet but I believe that it won't show up in an allergy test because it is an intolerance not an allergy. if he is doing better then I would stick to that because there is no harm in not having gluten. it is probably actually a better way of eating anyway. it is just not as convenient... if he...
  4. nope no coffee here... I have a frappacino maybe once a year... I can't stand coffee... I used to hate the smell of it too but since my 3rd pregnancy I love the smell of it but I still can't stand the taste... I wish I wish I wish it tasted as good as it smells!!
  5. I can't seem to get anyone to take it seriously. I have seen at least 3 doctors about it since finding out I had in fact lost height (and that my husband didn't just seem taller than he used to) #1 told me its just the discs in my back but didn't test anything #2 said its too hard to measure 2 inches and #3 said I just need antidepressants and that she won...
  6. I'm a bit of everything.... italian, french, english, irish, scottish, native american, norwegian, german, spanish... who knows what else...
  7. I'm pretty new too and just figured it out yesterday CC="cross contamination"
  8. have you been to a naturopath? when I was a teen my ND said I had yeast in my intestines and gave me something for it.. not sure what it was maybe niacin? but I don't think so... it was white and tasted like chalk, was supposed to chew it. also you can find out about taking flora pills... I think that is what they are called they have the "good" bacteria...
  9. does anyone know if the blood calcium levels are taken when they do a chemistry panel??
  10. *sigh* I love my husband dearly and he is normally so good about things but I am getting really frustrated here... "gluten free bread is too expensive" "we're not going out to buy a breadmaker right now" "try the gluten free diet longer and then if it is successful we'll think about replacing things more seriously" "the toaster should be fine if you just...
  11. ok, here is my question, my thyroid tested normal... but I have symptoms of thyroid disorders like hashimotos and hyperparathyroidism does this mean I don't have either of those? or does that not even show up with the thyroid test?? I'm just trying to find out what is wrong with me cause the doctors keep saying i don't have celiac disease and the celiac...
  12. well, we are on the 4th day gluten free now (3rd full day) my back hurts worse than it ever did before , and krystjan is as irritable as ever.. crying over every little thing, constantly hungry, nothing makes him happy... he seemed to be doing so good... I know that someone did give him a couple of crackers yesterday in childcare at MOPS... I forgot they...
  13. Open Original Shared Link IgA. High levels of IgA may mean monoclonal gammopathy of unknown significance (MGUS) or multiple myeloma is present. Levels of IgA also get higher in some autoimmune diseases, such as rheumatoid arthritis and systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), and in liver diseases, such as cirrhosis and long-term (chronic) hepatitis.
  14. you said you went to washington state university... can I ask you who you went to ? I'm in washington trying to find a doctor who is knowledgeable about celiac disease and won't just say "you don't have it cause you don't have diarhea and you aren't losing weight"....

  16. I enjoy books by ted dekker (just finished reading "adam" it was good, also the circle trilogy is excellent and thr3e, blink of an eye, skin, saint, house, obsessed, showdown, blessed child, man called blessed, and the martyrs song series) , francine rivers (redeeming love, the last sin eater, atonement child, and the mark of the lion series are good) george...
  17. I have had one doctor say that it is probably just the discs being thinner than they used to be one who said that it is nothing to worry about and that height is a difficult thing to measure... whatever... and one who said it is all in my head and that they can't treat any symptoms until I am on antidepressants... thanks that photo was taken...
  18. no, I haven't been tested for anything cause "its all in my head" and I "just need antidepressants" they won't even do a bone density scan or anything. I've lost 2 inches of height and nobody will do anything about it!! I've got all kinds of problems and nobody will do anything and I'm just tired of being this way... I feel like I'm falling apart... like...
  19. I don't think so cause in canned stuff if it is just veggies they usually just say "peas and water" or something if it is packed in water or sometimes if there is a preservative it lists what the preservative is so I think if the frozen veggies just list the veggies then that is all that is in the package
  20. ok one of my symptoms is my feet/legs and hands/arms go numb... I have just started being gluten free (on day 2 now) and that symptom is getting worse, for the most part my brain fog and tummy troubles seem to be getting better but my legs are numb just from sitting now and my hands feel cold and numb just sitting here typing (in the recliner with my laptop...
  21. was just wondering about bin inn... did you use a scoop that someone else would have used in wheat flour?? also, I lived in New Zealand for 5 years... not sure what a stone is though is it like 14 pounds or something like that? I would say that the doctors here are much more help than there but I think in your case they would be since you are losing weight...
  22. hehe thanks. I still feel sick sometimes but my house is so messy right now cause I've just been so wiped out and I'm sure I'm getting gluten from crumbs... I don't think my husband is gonna be willing to get a new toaster either oh well we will just deal with things as they come
  23. I don't know much about that stuff but my grandma has a lot of celiac symptoms and has always had to take medications and vitamins etc in a liquid form or tongue drops because the pills just passed through undigested... maybe your body is absorbing things so well now that it feels like its overdosing?
  24. well I just got done with dinner, I made gluten free cornbread and it actually turned out good although a bit crumbly but then cornbread is crumbly anyway! the kids loved it cause I used blue cornmeal anyway I'm not feeling so overwhelmed since my first baking experience turned out so good.
  25. being dirty is supposed to be a good thing according to this https://www.celiac.com/articles/21557/1/Bei...ease/Page1.html
