  1. OH and Sami's Bakery is NOT Gluten Free. Read their labels. And at my Celiac Support group in Tampa, the leader warned everyone again. People have gotten sick off of their food.
  2. I do well at Sukhothai. They have 2 locations (Carollwood and New Tampa). The food is VERY good too.
  3. Ive had 2 optical migraines in my life. The first one scared the crap out of me. I was in my early 20's. I was sitting there reading a newspaper when all of a sudden I could not focus or read the words. Everything was "moving". I thought I was going blind. So I called my Dad (optician) and he had the doctor he worked with call me. The first thing...
  4. There is a commercial mayo...vegenaise or something like that.
  5. No soy in Nomato. I dont do soy either. Carrots, Water, Beets, Onions, Garlic, Spices. No Nightshades. I just used it today to make a delicious italian soup.
  6. Interesting. I never had any problems with nosebleeds or bleeding for that matter before. I had been noticing for the past 2 weeks that there were speckles of blood when I blew my nose. And that crusties were dark red. Then two days ago, I noticed that I had scratched a tiny scab on my arm and that it was gushing. I mean tiny. And later that night...
  7. The real proof is in th pudding: The gluten-free diet And you are responding positively with it. That would be ALL I need.
  8. I found this: Open Original Shared Link
  9. Is she getting enough fiber? Drinking enough water? For fiber: Chia seeds, flax seeds, Hemp 8 - 10 glasses of water a day Magnesium does work, but you cannot randomly throw in a single supplement. The body needs balance. If you add magnesium, you will need to balance with calcium. If you add calcium, you will need trace minerals to balance it...
  10. Gerri, I would just stick with whole foods for now. Fruits, veggies, meats, nuts and seeds (maybe some alternative grains like quinoa and buckwheat). And then later experiment with gluten-free products. My blood sugar was higher than normal for about the first month gluten-free. Then it calmed down. I dont eat ANY of the processed gluten-free products...
  11. All A+
  12. Nomato replaces tomato sauce. The Gluten Free Mall carries it.
  13. It only happens to me when I have to fast. So now I take some juice and nuts with me. As soon as they take remove the needle, I drink some juice and start munching the nuts. So I feel much better right away.
  14. What caused severe acid reflux in such a little girl to begin with? My guess is gluten. I just attended a Celiac Support group here locally over the weekend. One woman there is now in her mid 40's. She was dx Celiac when she was a young child. Then she started eating some wheat in her teens and so her doctor said that she had "grown out of it". So...
  15. I did find the thread on Humaworm and read the whole thing. Thank you. For me, they would have to leave out: cayenne, ginger, fennugreek, licorice, senna, psyllium and cascara sagrada. I do not do well with laxatives at all. So would it be as effective without all of these I wonder? I will think about it.
  16. People at my Celiac's Support Group on Saturday said this was the best cake ever. One lady said she took it to a party and everyone ate her gluten-free flan cake and didnt want the other desserts: Open Original Shared Link I cant make it yet, cuz I am off dairy and eggs. But someday.....

    ARCHIVED Very Scared

I have neuro symptoms. I do not have MS, but am following the MS recovery diet. I figure anything that heals nerves is what I want. Basically it is: Gluten Free, Dairy Free, Legume Free, Yeast Free and Egg Free I have plenty to eat and am very hopeful. Def. look into other intolerances.
  18. It sounds multi-faceted to me. Have you been tested for Celiac? Thyroid? Parasites? Iron/Ferritin lately? Vitamin D? B vitamins? Calcium and Magnesium? I understand not wanting to go to a Dr. all too well. But if you have insurance, you really should take the time to try to find a good one that will help you. Osteopathic MDs are often good, Naturopaths...
  19. Hi Caz, I have those type symptoms. Everyone says it takes time for the neuro symptoms to heal. Up to a year or 2. So we have to be patient. Believe me, patience is NOT my forte. But I am tired of it as well. I have suffered for 12 years. I can wait to be well. Hang in there. S
  20. It's so funny. I hated them. ***shrug***
  21. You got 2 bags for 70.00 at WF?? I would do a happy dance if that ever happened to me. I never get out of there for under 300.00 Never!! And it is usually like 4 bags. And 70.00 at a regular grocery store will only get me about 2 bags of food....it aint right.....
  22. I checked the humaworm. Of course EVERY parasite cleanse manufacturer says theirs is the best. That humaworm just has way to many things in it that I am sensitive to (legumes and nightshades). Not to mention senna nearly kills me. Explosive D for days and severe abdominal cramping. Worse than labor. Way worse. I will never ingest that stuff again....
  23. I use Bob's sorghum and have not reacted and supposedly he checks his flours and marks them gluten free. What brand of sorghum are you using?
  24. Hashis shouldnt have too much iodine. But sea salt doesnt have that much. Iodized salt is too high to use exclusively.
  25. Welcome. Stick to your normal diet until you see the GI doctor. A biopsy can give you more proof of celiac. But with 2 positive blood tests, you are celiac. There are no false positives. After your biopsy. I mean right after, you will need to stop eating gluten. There are some great books that will explain it all. "Dangerous Grains", "Going...
