ARCHIVED Bleeding
stef-the-kicking-cuty replied to a topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
I'd definitely try going glutenfree. It might still help you, cause my oppinion is, that wheat isn't good for humans anyway. Just because manufacturers say it's good, we shouldn't believe it. They just say it's good, cause they can earn a lot of money with wheat. It's cheap! -

Haha, Michelle, I couldn't keep from eating some chocolate ice cream with marsh mallows and hot fudge today. Let's see where this leads to tomorrow . But I guess, I'm still filling up on what I didn't have last week . I'm what my grandma called a "sugarcheek" . @ Carriefaith: There are different weight classes. 1994 when I first competed (in Germany... -

Thanks guys! celiac3270, I will try to get some information in time about if it is televised in the US. Already 2000 they showed kickboxing at the olympics. The goal is, to get there in a view years. We've come a long way. If kickboxing will ever get olympic, than with our association, which is the biggest in the world of kickboxing anyway. So I really think... -
Yipiee! I made it! It wasn't easy at all, but since sunday I'm in the american kickboxing national team. I couldn't have done this, without all the people on here and their advices about what you can and can't eat. And an ear for ranting in case you need it. I would have been glutened half of the time and then wouldn't have been able to compete anymore. But...

We just had the our women gymnastics team meeting. Usually we hold it at one of the women's house and everybody brings something to eat. Cause I wasn't sure, what time it started, I called one of the other women ahead and then we got to talk a little bit. By the way, they all know, I can't have gluten. And she said, "Oh, and you can have mine, it's without... -
Maybe your grandmother has it, too. I had acid reflux before going glutenfree, too. It's all gone now...

ARCHIVED Stomach Virus Or Cd?
stef-the-kicking-cuty replied to Sheely's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
I had a real bad headache the night from sunday to monday, too. And then, monday morning, I had a real bad "D". Then it was gone (at least that's what I thought). Today now, I have the headache again. There seems to be a bad virus going around. Other non-celiac people in our Y had that, too. -

I had something funny, too. About two month ago. Well, actually, it was more of a coincidense. I talked in one of the YMCA's, i'm visiting frequently, to the fitness coordinator. They wanted me to make a demonstration for their year-end-show. I agreed, but asked, if I can bring my own food, since I'm a celiac. She asked what that is and I explained it to... -
That with the 2nd oppinion isn't just always working with celiac disease. With me it was probably the 30st opinion. And still it was me who found it out, not the doctor. He still doesn't believe...

Oops, didn't see the part that said "as well as any ingredient that may contain Gluten are always listed on the label". Yes, in that case it should be listed on the label. -

I thought among the top 8 allergens in the USA is only wheat and not rye, oats and barley. That would mean, that yes, they would list wheat on the label, but not rye oats or barley. -
Sorry, I forgot what my point was. Well, she didn't even apologize and just kept on munching.
-
It's actually nice, when people apologize after they realize what they have done. Yesterday I helped out at the Year End Show in the YMCA and after that all the helpers got free pizza. I went into the staffs/trainers office to ask my gymnastics teacher, if she still needs me for cleaning up, before I go home. And she asked me, if I wanted some pizza, too...

Hi Tiffany, I have the same problem. I have a very low sex drive. I don't know, how my testosterone levels are, but very often I have pain. I would like to know what this condition is, cause it sounds like me. Before I read your post I used to think, this is, because I'm very busy with doing sports. And I heard women who make a lot of sports can have low... -

Uh! That's so far from us. Maybe I'll come to visit, when I'm in California for a competition. To start a cafe like that sounds like a good idea. It might be worth checking out in our area. -

What I always loved is what we called a chocolate-banana. I don't know, if you have this here in the states. It's a banana cut in a half length-wise and placed on a thin piece of bisquit that's about the same length. Sometimes there's whipcream and/or jelly between the bisquit and the banana. And then there's hot chocolate poured over the entire thing. When... -
Yeah, that's true. Not only in the US and Canada. All over the world. Obviously for some people it's all about the money. Just sad!

Hello there, welcome to this message board. I don't know, what to think about this news. But now I know at least, that asians can get celiac disease, too. Because I had an asian friend before, who's daughter had problems with wheat. But she told me, that her doctor said to her, that asians can't get celiac disease. Wow! -
ARCHIVED Cd For Life?
stef-the-kicking-cuty replied to jams's topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease
Yes, celiac disease is for life. There is no cure. I mean other than sticking to the diet. A few days ago Kaiti explained very good to some of her friends, that she can't eat the pizza by puring something over it (i think it was cleaner or something) and then scraping it off. Just like her friends did with the cheese on the pizza. And then she offered...
