  1. Oh, I forgot (see? I can't think!). The reason, why we're going down there is to see Graceland. My mother is like THE biggest Elvis fan on this planet. So, please don't suggest THAT of all things. It's already planned in. I was thinking of something along the way. I will take my laptop with me, so I still can read your answers down there in the hotel....
  2. Hi everybody! My mother and I leave for Memphis, TN, this evening for a 3 or 4 day trip and I was wondering, if I could ask you guys for a little help in this matter. I don't have any time for research right now and didn't the weeks before leading up to this event either, because of a mother that asks another question every 5 minutes and a son that...
  3. Thank you! My mom is here. She didn't complain, she just said: "So tomorrow I'll clean up here." lmao
  4. OK, so today was my first day in the chat and I have to say, it was AWESOME!!! I finally got things done... all day long! Here's a list of what I accomplished without being so fatigued, that I could sleep on the spot: Collecting and putting away paperwork for Lukas, clean out my pantry and give some glutenfoods to Travis, getting the stuff out...
  5. Thanks to all for your help. I feel more motivated already. Feng Shui is one of my favorite subjects. I've probably read every book in our library already. The strange stuff is, in the past I could help other people with that, but never myself. But I just figured out a few days ago, why. It's not, because I don't like to clean. I like it and I will do it...
  6. OK, I'm on now. I introduced myself. Lukas is going to his dad in 5 minutes and I'm trying to get started here. I will post my journey
  7. OK, my account is now setup, but I still can not post. I have no clue, what is going on. It says, I'm not signed in, when I clearly am. I will keep you guys posted on my progress.
  8. @Nikki: Yes, it's very hard, especially when you have an almost 3 year old, that doesn't let you do, what you want to do. And btw, on FlyLady, they have days or months, where they declutter also. I have a feeling this will be perfect. OK, I finally got on now, what an ordeal, but someone was very nice and helped. Cool! So let's get addicted
  9. Ha, I found you. Are you on there yourself and did you maybe have the same problems? I can't sign in with the account I registered. I don't know, what to do.
  10. Man, I must be ADD, the last post is totally not, what I actually wanted to write. What I wanted to write was. I registered for the FlyLady forum on blogtalkradio and for some reason, I can't sign in. I didn't receive a welcome e-mail to click onto a link, so that you are accepted (don't know, what you call that). And when I searched the members, my member...
  11. Cleaning actually isn't that much of a problem. I usually like to clean. It's more that there is no space to put stuff, so it piles up. It's more the working on things and putting things away part, that gets me. And because there are things lying around, that's why I'm not cleaning, cause I would have to move everything from point A to point B and then back...
  12. Haha, thank you. Now I'm not only addicted to Facebook, but to FlyLady as well great site, will come back here, when I'm done reading, let's say in a week or so? Then I'm going to miss leaving to pick up my mother at the airport, do NOT clean up, because I'm reading FlyLady and by the time I realize, my mother is M.I.A. it looks so bad here, I don't want...
  13. The "small part at a time" is not the problem. I used to do that, before I was pregnant. The "I don't even get started, even if I only have one small part at a time" is the problem. That's why I asked for some help in motivation.
  14. I have problems with getting started with tidying up around here. And honestly, I can not to save my life to bring myself to do that. There's always something else coming up as it seems. And I know, I know, this subject should not be connected to celiac and it isn't (I think ), however I've wondered about that, since a lot of people with gluten issues have...
  15. I know, this sounds silly probably and I was wondering, if there are any celiacs out there, who would do the fitness diary again, just for motivation. I have a big competition coming up at the end of October and I just can't get my bottom of the chair so to speak. And I'm really demotivated and frustrated right now. Also need to loose about 14 lbs, especially...
  16. Oh, I forgot. The most relaxed stretch is to just have that leg straight. If you want to increase this stretch, without pulling up at the ankle, just put something to elevate the foot/shin under the foot/shin like a thick pillow. This way you're stretching your quad from the hip and not the knee. And your leg is still bend like in the traditional stretch...
  17. Of course! Here it is: Find a platform, that is just underneath the level of where your hip ends and the quad starts like a table or something. It has to be large enough. Then go get a chair. Now stand with your back against the platform. Lay down your leg on the platform. The area has to be big enough to support the entire leg. Put the chair in front...
  18. I've had so many "friends" in the past, that I thought, were really good friends, only to find out, that they "just don't get it". Even though at first it really hurt cutting off the connection, I am now happier and glad, I did it. I was at the point, where I thought, I'd rather have only one friend, but therefore a good friend. So I started saying good bye...
  19. Thought, I'd hang my request unto this post, cause it's related to Scotland. I'm also going to be in Edinburgh at the end of October this year. I was wondering, where and what I can eat? Since I'm flying in from the US, there's no cooler or microwave I can take with me on the plane. Every suggestion is greatly appreciated. Keep in mind, other than my still...
  20. Just thought the same thing... cute face. I know I'm late responding to this post, but I also wanted to say something on what somebody said in this post (can't remember who) about negativity and ranting. I've tried to eat out with my German friends over here in the US and pointed out to them several times, that I am not comfortable with eating at an Italian...
  21. Wow, that is so me. One of my friends, who is not my friend anymore actually, always told me, that I would "obsess again". She's right. I'm actually seeing a therapist, because of another reason. I've told her, that I sometimes have thoughts, that I can't shake off, like the house of my ex-husband starting to burn, when my son is with him, because his new...
  22. That's funny, most of them are today thought of as having had Asperger's as well.
  23. Oh, forgot this one. A while back around the time, when I was diagnosed (2004) there was the notion going around, that Irish people have the highest number of people being diagnosed. Rumors are also going around, that Irish people have an explosive temper, especially when they drink. Well, beer has gluten and the fact that the Irish have an explosive temper...
  24. I wish I could put my son entirely on glutenfree. His dad was diagnosed as bi-polar in the beginning of 2008. My son turns 3 in August and has had very bad behaviour issues lately. His favorite word is no also. He is also very very sensitive to a lot of things, has a lot of issues with overstimulation. He's very active, one could think, he's ADHD. It's gotten...
