  1. Oh yes, I'm so excited, it ain't funny no more! I could jump up and down from excitement . Well, I've "only" been cleaning up the nursery so far. Since I got so much things at the baby shower, only half of it fit into my car. The other half is still at my mother-in-laws house near Bellefonte, which is over an hour for us and it's mostly furniture. They...
  2. Hi guys, I hope, I am still welcome to jump in here. This is an awesome thread. I just read everything in one shot . I had a bad conscions reading it all, cause I have a ton to do, but at least I got some of my needle canvas for the projects for Lukas new nursery done, while reading it . OK, as some of you know, I'm pregnant... still . My pre...
  3. I still don't feel a real "need" to clean up. Yes, I wish, it would be cleaner. I never "wished" that before... lol. So maybe a step into the right direction. Tuesday evening, when I walked the one mile on the treadmill I thought, maybe what's a normal cleaning urge to a normal woman is 'sport' to me... lol. Pretty much like "my way of nesting"... lol.
  4. Yes, I love your nursery picture, too! How sweat! Since my doctor's appointment yesterday there are some exciting news. So, she checked me, right? First she was like 'wow, you're almost completely effaced, I can feel the baby's head down there.' I was so shocked, I forgot to ask about the percentage, so I met her again outside on the floor. And I was like...
  5. Aaah, that freaks me out. She mentioned for a brief moment, he could be breech and that she might have felt the butt and not the head. But when I told her, that he was head down all the time and I even have his hickups in my wooha the last few weeks like everyday, she didn't say anything about this issue anymore. It still freaks me out, because I was a breech...
  6. Stef... lol . Funny, that you guys mention the regal thing, because we actually do have a family flag in one of those castles in Germany. In the Rhineland That's too funny! Here's the update on my doc's appointment today: Woohoo! Some progress here! I'm 80% effaced already!!! His head is engaged, she could feel his head in there (sorry, TMI)...
  7. Hi there, I just read and didn't say much to any of it yet. There are some good posts on here. BTW, welcome to the board irish daveyboy. I was a bit surprised, because Ursa, you didn't mention the german celiac board. Maybe I'm mistaken, but I thought, you are active there, too. Well, the problem is known in Germany and a lot of people over there also...
  8. I have my doctor's appointment this morning. Just wanted to let you guys know. I'll update you later on what happened.
  9. Angie, not Stef! I don't want to be a downer, but my husband has asked me everytime but once and that one day he was very busy. I gave him a list for my birthday as well and he invited me to Outback's Steakhouse. I know, he hates wrapping gifts, so Outback's seemed to be the best solution to him and at that point I haven't been out in ages. So that was kind...
  10. Congratulations !!! I am truly very happy for you. And when you find a good doctor, you should support him anyway you can. There are enough brain dead doctors out there, so it's good to hear, that the good ones are out there, too.
  11. Ditto - this is exactly the way, we do it. First I planned on also making our travel team totally glutenfree and advertized this as first international glutenfree team in the country. Next thing that happened was, that somebody with a cocoabutter allergy had issues, so I thought, why not do it like this??? And it's working much better. A simple hotel with...
  12. Michelle, I have the same opinion, you do. In fact, I would love to be able to birth at home, too. I had a wonderful pregnancy, and I'm at low risk at the moment (was considered high risk for almost miscarrying in week 28 for a few days, but not anymore now, cause I made it to fullterm). There is nothing at the moment, that would keep me from birthing at...
  13. Hi there, thought I hop over to visit. Still nothing here yet, either. I would LMBO, if we have 'em the same day... lol!
  14. That sounds a little bit like you are getting gluten from somewhere. I would go over everything one more time real careful. Maybe you find something?
  15. Hi there, 9 days left and still nothing. Sometimes I feel pressure from the baby trying to expand and he puts the pressure either on the front of my belly or down. And even though, the pressure is slightly uncomfortable, I try to support him in putting the pressure down there. In the hope, maybe something (like the mucous plug) plops out . I will hop...
  16. I still think, that was mean, what grandpa said. It doesn't matter, if it offended your daughter in the end. Just the fact, that he said something like that, ticks me off! He COULD HAVE offended her. Why does he even take risk in offending her like that, if he loves his grandchild? First switching brain on... Then talking, please!
  17. I've been glutened at a chilis about three years ago. But I would like to give the Mechanicsburg one another try, cause I pass Mechanicsburg quite often. It's only like 15-20 minutes from us. Can you explain how I can find the Chilis? I'm coming off of 81 and down 114.
  18. That's why I said, I would have rubbed the infertility in Nr. 1 in the first letter in. Doesn't she also have problems with that?
  19. Before diagnosis I was mostly (99%) just constipated. After diagnosis when I got glutened, I had horrible cramps to the point, where I couldn't breath because of all the pressure and I thought, I explode. I couldn't walk and literally had to crawl up the stairs to the bathroom. Bloodpressure dropped, too. Horrible migranes, almost to the point where...
  20. This is an awesome letter, Bronco! I don't think, I could have been that professional. I would have rubbed it in at your point in Nr. 1 (edited: I meant Nr. 1 in the first letter) and added "Infertility"... lol. I fully expected her to write an answer like this. What do you expect
  21. I was also wondering what message board they meant. The one on their website or ours??? If they meant ours, then it's not just posted on "some message board", like they said. It's absolutely posted on THE correct message board. What the??? And I can't get rid of the feeling, that they just make these statements to save their reputation. They are not...
  22. 17 grands!!! That is ridiculous! The last doctor in the US, I went to, diagnosed me with acid reflux and IBS, as well. When I told him, that the pills for acid reflux don't work (found out later, they had wheat in them), he also wanted to prescribe something else. Then I hit the breaks in and told him that I think, it's celiac. He then told me to wait...
  23. Hi Kat, if you want a celiac diagnosis, you can NOT go glutenfree BEFORE the tests or the results could be wrong. Yes, I would suggest, you go to the doctor and request the tests. There are also some doctors out there, as you already know, who will try to ignore you and say you don't need the tests, because they think, it's all in your head and you can...
