  1. Lucky for me the person that lives in my house has been all though it with alcohol so he gets it. Pluse he has seen me struggle with what many though were hypochondria. I have also been though it with quiting drinking. oh you can't have beer here is some wine. I just smile and walk away. Unless they have lived it they will not get it. My all time favorite...
  2. I get those from whiting tooth paste.
  3. Pork rinds are a great angry food. Some times I just need something loud and crunchy. I like the pretzles but at 6 bucks a bag that gets pricey. Pluse most gas stations have Pork rinds not Gluten free pretzels. I am not a big potato chip fan and corn makes me angry and I fly off at people. So If I am planing to be near people I have to limit my corn. My...

  6. I must have just had a different reaction. I see an endocrinologist. After my surgery I did not have any thyroid meds for a month. ( the surgon said that if there was cancer they could not treat it until i was of the thyroid meds. the thyroid dr was on vacation) My TSH was 80 with 0 being the goal. I was in so much pain and all I could do was sit and watch...
  7. Dickson city ,pa near Scranton, pa Red Robin -- I was traveling and just needed a warm meal. They are new about this but fast to please. The manager took over my order. He said they had a dedicated fryer but made my fries in fresh oil " just in case." After I ate he came to ask me how the meal was. He was a younger guy so there is much hope for the...
  8. My thyroid was removed 2.5 years ago. Do not eat for 2 hours before taking thyroid meds or an hour after. They are very fragile and food will cause you not to get the full dose that you have taken. I have found that several of my friends were never told this. Try taking Calcuim Ditrate+ d on a daily basis. When my muscles twitch I need more...
  9. Wow thanks. I travel often, I am in fact getting ready to go camping with a large group. I am a bit scared as I am new to this. but I already eat a little non traditional, so bringing food with me when I travel is not new to me. I pack a lot of tree nuts and dried figs as they travel good. They take up little room and are still good to eat after a few hours...
  10. I went to a dinner, my second time out since going gluten free. I had scrambled eggs, home fries and a double order of bacon. 40 minutes later I had to find a bathroom, 25 hours later my gut is hard as a rock. I am in a little pain but not much. What did I eat? I thought those were all safe foods? ONE MORE MILE
  11. I think that trauma to the body can cause allergies and intolerance. I think I had mine for years but right after a surgery it kicked in to high gear. I talked to a woman who was the family baker, always had cookies in the cookie jar and was know for her pot pie noodles. Right after a car accident she lost about 80 pounds and found she was celiac ( I buy...
  12. Wow thanks you for all the fast response and good information. I am also a recovered alcoholic this is my 25th anniversary, And have had to figure out that that peanuts give me bad enough migraines that eating m and m's caused me so much pain that I had a 5 day migraine. So I have lots of experiance in staying away from poison that others around me enjoy...
  13. If you have had gastric bypass you need the iron. I live with someone that eats any thing they want but with out the iron they get very tired and pale. Good luck I can relate to your problems. I have been labeled a hypochondriac for years. And for me also it seems that once I get a handle on one thing, another pops up. You just have to keep trying...

  15. HI all this is my first post. I am new to all this. Basically after having my thyroid removed (goiter) I have gained a lot of weight (20 pounds and I am 5 foot 2) and am always tired. I went off of gluten about three weeks ago ( and have lost 12 pounds and about 3 or 4 inches on my waist) I probably do not have celiac disease because I gained weight during...
