  1. Thank you for your input. I'm thinking this might be the culprit seeing as how it's been probably a year since I've had maple syrup...then on top of that never having agave till Sunday. Sooo it makes a lot of sense. I'll be doing some more research on it. If need be when my gut is better, I'll reintroduce it (in a much smaller amount) to see if I have...
  2. Well like I said, there was NOTHING regarding it being gluten free ANYwhere on the label of the package of brats I had. Really...nothing at all. I read the thing over and over and even had my husband read it. "just read the label" LOL But I did!
  3. Yeah I'm going with basics for a week to get my poor gut right. I DID read somewhere that agave can cause diarrhea. I only found a couple sources, but I don't know if that is hard fact or if it's just something a few people have experienced. Of course it wasn't a gluten-free or celiac website, so it wasn't by someone like us who look at everything through...
  4. I too do have some neuro symptoms with celiac. It's just a mild to moderate vertigo-like attack though lasting a few days into a week sometimes. It's what I would describe as tolerable as compared to you. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers as it's got to be very frustrating to go through something like that being so young. I'm 28 and my co-workers...
  5. So I've not posted in a long while. A good thing. It means I'm having no problems. However I did find that Johnsonville Bratwurst (original) are a HUGE no-no. There's got to be soy in it somewhere. It states on the website that they're gluten free but does NOT state on the packaging that it's gluten free. However nowhere does it state the chances of...
  6. haha, I just posted this same thing on another thread, but this is an awesome cream of mushroom soup recipe. I used it to make stroganoff and it makes a large enough batch to have some to freeze afterwards. My husband L O V E D it! Open Original Shared Link
  7. Progresso has soy in it...had a bad bad reaction from trying my chances. Won't do that again. I found a cream of chicken recipe on simplyrecipes.com that would work well.
  8. pooped... It was the most difficult thing for me to give up bread. I wasn't able to even tolerate gluten free bread because my intestines needed healing so badly. After going on a combination of probiotic and candida digester, I was able to tolerate milk and yeast. I've read that yeast sometimes can make you react sometimes. My mom is hard headed...
  9. Ok ya'll... Positive for the gene...it's now official. It's a good thing because I know a lot of my issues are surrounded by the presence of Celiac. I'm going to try and read this as best I can... Thyroglobulin Antibody 308.1 0.0 - 60.0 U/mL ------ IgM was 10 with <10 being negative IgA was 23 with >13 being positive...
  10. is busy at work :)

  12. It has MSG in it though
  13. At 3:35 I will find out the results of all my testing!!! I'm excited, yet nervous. Hubby is going with me for support in case I get bad news of any kind. Which I'm not hoping for, and really I'd like him to be there just so he hears what he has to say too. fingers crossed that I'm positive for genes for Celiac (LOL!) because if it's negative I think...
  14. THANKYOU THANKYOU thankyou thankyou thankyou!!
  15. That is EXTREMELY helpful, however three times a week I drink a glass of water with ground flax seed in it for regularity. I just suppose in it's rawest states I'm just not able to handle it. Thank you for your info, I've been contemplating getting testing done to see if I have diverticulitis...I probably have it.
  16. I am not sure if the chips I've been eating were or were not treated with lime. I have read that on bags of chips before, but not on the ones I eat (tostitos naturals and snyders). I will have to research it... THANKYOU all for your input...
  17. I get them from my local food store that sells organic/gluten free items...it's called The Apple Crate. However any whole foods should have it and I'm pretty sure the Enjoy Life website has a store locator so you can find a local store near you that carries it.
  18. ok...bump... anyone?
  19. I have awful sinus problems and I know that is NOT linked with my gluten intolerance (soon to find out for sure if it's Celiac). If I do not get to the doctor or start on mucinex pronto, within 24 hours of the first sign of a sinus infection it moves to my chest and I get severe bronchitis and then I'm in the doc's being put on antibiotics and cough medicine...
  20. I just want to put out there that my neurologist, Dr. Richard Serano in Fayetteville, NC is a specialist with Celiac. If your insurance requires a referral, make sure Celiac is listed as the reason. Tricare WILL approve it with persistence...for all you military folk It get's covered under the reimbursement deal. You pay out of pocket up front and receive...
  21. Jasmine rice is also very good...and smells so wonderful when cooking it!
  22. BUMP Anyone?
  23. Oh my goodness sweetie...I feel so sorry for your pain! I am happy though that you are improving. It makes you wonder why we have doctors sometimes. If only more docs were like House
  24. You're welcome first of all and yes, people don't realize what it's like for military wives, daughters, sons, etc. It has taken me almost two years to finally get to where I am with these tests. The tingly/ear ringing episode I mentioned, I was told it was residual effects of a panic attack I hate having that on my records. Anything they don't know...
