  1. Happy birthday and may God bless you today!

  2. Yesterday, Chris and I went to meet with our wedding planner. Everything is coming together wonderfully. We now have a total itinerary with the planner. We also have an ice sculpture with our package and I love the design the guy made. However, I have been dealing with car issues, and as I type my car is being looked at. Hopefully, I will not have to...
  3. Merry Christmas! This Christmas was great with family and friends. My soon to be mother in law had a friend of hers make me gluten free, dairy free chocolate covered pretzels!!! AMAZING!!! I am still eating them, and I am ready to make some more myself. My fiance and I traveled quite a bit getting to everyone's house and seeing all our families. We had...

    ARCHIVED Inuries

What kind of injuries are you having? I am an athletic trainer with celiac. I'm not sure if I can help you, but maybe if I can get some more information about your injuries. PM me, if you would like. Danielle
  5. No he is not. However, he writes the way that someone falls into the book..not knowing what time it is, or anything around them. The only problem is that most of his books are detective murder mystery types. "Sundays at Tiffany's" is a rare type of book for him. I would suggest this book, but maybe not the others if you are looking for a Christian...
  6. I am not sure if I missed someone adding WOODCHUCK to the Gluten free alcohol list. It is listed on the label to be gluten free. I have heard it curbs the beer cravings..but I don't like beer, so I wouldn't know. Good luck to everyone
  7. Wednesday I started a book I am borrowing from the library. It's called "Sundays at Tiffany's" By: James Patterson (He is an amazing writer) Anyways, I started the book Wednesday morning about 10:00. I took a break around 12:00, showered and went to work. As I was at work and in between giving treatments to the athletes, I read a total of 2 more hours. I...
  8. Nick- I was diagnosed last year, while I was dating someone. It took him a little bit to get over the inital shock and frustration, just like I did. However, we are now engaged and getting married in 6 months. I am very glad to have found someone that was supportive and understanding through out the process. At least you have already found out and are...

    Glutened :(

Yesterday I was glutened..and it was probably fault. I went to Steak and Shake with my fiance. We were going to go to a steak restaurant, but it was very busy (being a saturday night). We ended up choosing S & S. I, first asked the waitress about the chili....which I should have known not to eat it...I had a bad feeling. But, I thought I would try...
  10. I agree with everyone else too...the days get better and better. It took me about 2 months to feel better. The best thing that helped me was to think about how much I would feel better each day. I took each day at a time realizing that each day was some improvement. A suggestion, would be to write down what you are going to eat for the week and plan what...
  11. I will have to check on the grilled chicken at Applebee's. I do not get the sauce on the stir fry because it has gluten in it. Thanks for the advice about TB.

    Hard Week

This week was especially difficult staying away from gluten and resisting temptation. I was with friends most of the week...and they always tend to get pizza and want to go out to eat. I have no problem going out to eat, but I usually like to plan ahead before I go. I was craving chocolate earlier this week and resisted the temptation....making myself...
  13. I have some ideas that might help anyone. Taco Bell- has Fresco crunchy tacos (lettuce, meat, and tomatos) has Fresco chicken bowl Cinnamon Twists (rice noodles with cinnamon) Applebee's- Has a great Oriental Stir Fry (Just change the breaded chicken for grilled chicken, but I am not sure about the sauce..I usually...
  14. Hi all. I am 23 ( a little older than most of you, however I don't feel always comfortable with the "adult" forums). I was diagnosed with Celiac and Casein sensitivity since April 2008. I would have to agree about going out to eat or being in public with family members, especially my mom and my soon to be mother in law. I love my mom to death...

    Oatmeal

Well, today I ate a small amount of oatmeal....not realizing that I don't think I should be eating that. So far, I have been ok, without severe consequences. I feel like my body sometimes needs a "cleansing flush", because sometimes I have diarrhea..yet I have not eaten anything 'bad' for a long time. Not sure about that. Anyways.... I have been...

    My Journey

I understand the frustration with other people that try to apologize for you, but they have no control over anything...so they should just understand that we have to do things a different way. I usually bring my own food wherever I go, and I have a bag of food in my car, most of the time that is the best way for me. I would suggest for the "dining out...
  17. I am also a wierd case of Celiac and casein sensitivity. I gained about 15 pounds FAST! This was very concerning to me since I am small framed and only 5'2". I was getting so frustrated and my doctor tried to put me on a 1000 calorie diet for diabetics. This was not good since I could barely function. I had the same problem as you with feeling hungry...
  18. Hi. I am new to this site also. I have known that I have celiac and casein sensitivity for over a year now. It is hard to get used to the cravings, especially since I had eaten anything for my entire life prior (22 years). For the hungry feeling I try to drink water. If that doesn't help I will eat vegetables or something that I really like that still...

    My Journey

My most severe symptoms that affected my daily routine started August 2008 with constant diarrhea. I thought at first it was anxiety, since I started graduate school, a new job and moved to a new place with a person I had never met. Lots of changes in a matter of a month. After a while nothing got better, it actually became worse. Once I started tracking...
  20. I'm glad that you want to have kids. I am fourth in a family that has ten. They truly are a blessing from God!

  21. Well. I have never written a blog, so I am not sure how this works....but I will just write something and see what happens. Recently, I have been thinking about getting pregnant a few years after I am married (this upcoming June). I have been really concerned about being infertile or have complications. Being infertile is one of my biggest fears. I...
