    ARCHIVED Who Dat!

I'm a lifelong member of the Who Dat Nation! Just found out today that Drew Brees is allergic to gluten: Open Original Shared Link Geaux Saints!
  3. Happy birthday and may God bless you today!

  4. I take the Ambertose (4xday). My aunt has sold it for a long time and really believes in the research behind it. I take as well as many other supplements in addition to the gluten-free diet, so it's hard to say exactly what has made the most difference in my overall health.
  5. I have at least 1 copy and my dr. put me on the cerefolin nac mentioned above. I'm actually also on a mild chelation treatment for metal toxicity. I didn't know the two were related. Thanks for the info!
  6. I was dx at 25. It was very upsetting for me. Vitamin D is huge! i've been taking 8000iu's of D3/day + Citrical under my dr.'s supervision. Since doing this regimen and being on gluten-free diet, my osteopenia is improving! There is so much out there about the benefits of Vitamin D...it is so important!
  7. I take the generic version of Citrical + Vit D + Minerals from Walgreens. You can order it from their website. It says "gluten free" on the bottle. I too was diagnosed with osteopenia, and at a very young age (25).
  8. I had nothing but tiny pellets every few days for months....it was unbelievably miserable. I tried water, exercise, fiber smoothies, colon-cleansing pills, and drinking prune juice mixed with aloe vera gel and NOTHING worked. I was at my wits end. My doctor recommend this product called Next to Nature Aloe, it worked wonders. I took too much at first...
  9. I just got back from Rome and the Amalfi coast. It was incredible!! We stayed in Sorrento and did day trips to Pompeii, Capri, and Amalfi...absolutely unbelievable. You have to check out Casa Astarita in Sorrento....it's an amazing bed and breakfast. The owner was so kind and was willing to go out of her way to acommodate my gluten free diet. There werea...
  10. I just got back this evening and had an amazing time!! I made a spread sheet of all of the gluten free friendly restuarnts I could find...(it's almost 50). If you send me your email, I'll send it to you with my top recommedations. If nothing else... www.babycakesnyc.com : )
  11. Thanks for the tips!!! I am way sad about the gelato!!! It's so amazing!! I'll be checking out the one near the Vatican as much as I possibly can!!! I will definitely be going to that restuarant in Paris ...maybe multiple times : )
  12. Does anyone have any restaurant recommendations for Paris, Rome, or the Amalfi Coast? My husband and I are going for our anniversary and I have no idea where we can go out to eat. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks so much! Kelly
  13. Thanks so much for coming to visit our city!! I'm pretty new to the gluten-free thing. Rio Mar in the Wearhouse District is an excellent choice for Latin inspired seafood. Also, there is a restaurant called Casamento's uptown that has all gluten-free fried seafood. I'm happy to help with suggestions for anything!! We have an excellent zoo, aquarium...
  14. I did have a pituitary adenoma....about 2.5 mm, but it did go away about 9mos. later. I think it's a fairly common thing. So sorry that it's gotten larger! You may feel much better by having them go in and take it out. From what I remember reading the procedure is not as complicated or scary as neurosurgeon might sound. Praying that all goes well!
  15. I also have normal TSH and t4, but really low t3. I have had all of the hypothyroid symptoms for a long time, but always had a normal TSH. Finally a new and wonderful doctor took the t3 level and was surprised I was even able to function. I am now on a combination of Synthroid and Cytomel. I was doing much better for a few months, and then my t3 level...
