    Some companies have listings of their gluten free foods. Also Walmart has a listing on their web site of the gluten-free foods they carry. Our family brand has quite a few gluten-free items for a full listing go to their web site. Hope this help you out.

    I usually drink Pepsi products usually Mt. Dew,gatorade, water, orange juice, apple juice, Coffee and wine Don't eat yogurt.

    I have had 11 infusions of Venofer. I feel so much better. Make sure to tell the nurse if there is any kin of reaction. I got an excrutiating headache and the chills from the infusion until they started running it over a longer period of time.

    I just wanted to share my good news. I just had my appt. with my Hematologist. My bloodwork is all within normal limits finally after 11 iron infusions and lots of oral iron. I am finally feeling like a human being again.

    I myself am only 3 weeks into this whole experience but it is ok to be angry and frustrated. I found that everyone here is very supportive. Meals do take a lot of planning but it is getting easier for me and I know it will for you too. Just take it one day at a time and come here for support.

    I caught myself doing it yesterday when my husband and I walked into Walmart. The smell of the pizza and chicken.mmmm. I bought some gluten free pizza crust mix and mak my own pizza.

    Thanks for the info because the same thought crossed my mind. I live in ND, a lot of these small grains are grown here and I do live in the middle of nowhere surrounded by grain feilds.

    Just finished my last iron infusion last week. I have had 11 of them. The way it was done for me is an IV was started with just saline running then the nurse started the iron, when that was done infusing the saline is run until the line is clear. It takes about an hour. Side effects I had were very severe headache and the chills. The pharmicist then...

    I too am on Synthroid. Not everyone can take the generic Levothyroxine and have to take name brand. The name brand Synthroid from Abbott laboratories is gluten free. Hope this helps.

    Thanks for the info. I have lost 16# since Dec. I am down to 119# and am 5'5". I haven't weighed that since I was 19 years old. I am concerned about my weight. I am going to try some f the info I read here. Thanks

    I was diagnosed a week ago. I was in denial until the Doctor told me that both the blood tests and the biopsy were positive. I was also angry for awhile but now have accepted it and decided that this is just going to be one of lifes challenges. I have found this site to be very helpful. Thanks for being here.
