Hi Everyone Me and my daughter (6yrs old) were diagnosed a year ago with celiac disease. \ My son (4yrs old) tested negative to blood test last year. Me and my daughter just had our 12 month blood test so I asked for my son to be tested again, I thought might as well since we were both having our tests done make it a family affair Turned out... -
Yes its to rid my body I am reading a book on allergies and the Candida diet and it recommends Nystatin and the strict diet, I am going to go see my GP next week and have a chat. I am going to try give the diet a go, although it sounds hard to stick with, its pretty basic really avoid sugar and stick with Veg, meat, rice. And also avoid other intolerance...

HI I would like to hear your experiences with Nystatin for Candida, I am considering taking it but have some doubts and would like to hear others experiences.

I have an intolerance to nightshades, Potatoes used to be my worse, but I have noticed I am not reacting as much, I have been taking alot of supplements over the past 16 months which I believe have helped this, although tomatoes and Paprika still cause terrible stomach pain and bloating. I never realized it was nightshades, always thought it was just...

Hi Steve Just wanted to say Hi and welcome. Sorry to hear what a rough time you have had over so many years. Just wondering if you have been tested for celiac disease? I was tested once (10yrs ago) and it was negative, My gut then told me they were wrong but believed the doctors and went on for another 10 years before they did another test which came...

I would also love some info on your foods, rather than what you avoided, what did you eat? Thanks Lisa francos@westnet.com.au

Thanks, good to know. Some days you do start to feel like your getting no where but then when you look back where you were a year ago, you know have improved. Nice to know it doesnt always happen overnight, I was so sick of people with celiac disease say how fantastic they felt in a few weeks, I was so worried something else was wrong with me. I must...

I have definately been having success with the Homeopath, its been about 4 weeks and so far just about all my issues have improved slightly. I have managed to eat foods that I have not eaten in over a year without feeling really sick so I am sticking with the homeopath and see how I go for a few more months.

Just wondering if anyone had success with Homeopathy? I saw a homeopath 3 weeks ago, to be honest I think I have been feeling quite a bit better, my stomach and axiety have seemed to improve and just better in general, clearer minded and more relaxed. I go back tomorrow for a follow up. I am curious to hear if anyone had any success with Homepathy...

Oh wow, thanks everyone. I did have doubts about the meds, so now I have more reason to worry about taking anything. I am seeing a new naturopath/Homeopath today, cant wait. My first Naturopath has given me lots of supplement to heal the gut lining and digestive enzymes etc which I have been doing for over a year, so now I just want a different opinion...

Thanks heaps everyone, great info. I completely agree, last 15 months have been really rough but its really a blessing as I am now so much more aware of my body and still learning more every day about what is good for me. Health has really become a huge priority for me now. Thanks so much, would love to know what were all your symptoms of Leaky Gut...

Hi Just wondering how many others suffer from Candida and how you treated it and how long it took to recover? I am also curious what you ladies ate when on a Gluten Free Candida diet. Thanks Lisa
-
Hi Everyone Well I think I have been eating something that's not agreeing with me, I have felt crappy. So I am brave and going to completely give up sugar and try the leaky gut diet. For those who are healing a leaky gut, what does your Gluten Free diet consist of, I have heard to avoid corn, (not an allergy I am aware of for me) but there goes my...

ARCHIVED Australians And New Zealanders Hellooooooo :)
Lisa79 replied to Aussie Peg's topic in Introduce Yourself / Share Stuff
Hi Thought I would introduce myself, I am from Perth WA. I have been around on the board a little in the last year although I never came across this thread before. Me and my daughter are both Coeliacs, don't really have much of a problem finding gluten-free foods in WA although I know other states seem to have more variety, we are a little behind... -
ARCHIVED Echinacea And Other Supplements Not Suitable For Autoimmune
Lisa79 posted a topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
The difference of opinions on Echinacea and autoimmune disease. A few different chemist said its fine to take with an Autoimmune disease, my Naturopath thinks its ok although she said was going to look into it more. But the research I have done on the net was very negative so I went into the health food shop and we went through some research books together... -
ARCHIVED Need Help Going Lectin-Free
Lisa79 replied to masterjen's topic in Food Intolerance & Leaky Gut
I cannot tolerate dairy and neither can my daughter, although its hard to stop her, I try to limit how much she has, otherwise she gets awful wind. I do have issues with Soy, and Beans, although I am ok with peas and green beans, I am also ok with lentils. It would be really good to hear of more research been done with lectins. I have found after... -
ARCHIVED Need Help Going Lectin-Free
Lisa79 replied to masterjen's topic in Food Intolerance & Leaky Gut
I cant really give anymore advice, you have been given such great advice already and I agree. I just wanted to say I am really interested in the lectin story too as I also feel Lectins are my problems. I am taking a protein digestive aid which is an enzyme to help break down food. Also a pre-biotic mix with l-glutamine which helps repair... -
