Yes, starting a group is not an easy task.. There are plenty of people who think after a few months gluten-free they have the answers & then a lot of bad info gets put into heads of newbies who become confused & mislead then have trouble knowing who to believe & trust... Sorry I didn't want to... -

sometimes pre-packaged salads become tainted by bacteria such as E-Coli... Maybe your things had a bacteria & that is what made you ill. We all are not made perfect we all come with flaws, some big issues some little problems but none of us were made perfect...I spent a week in the hospital for C, I also use alternative meds & docs. Elizabeth Gordon has a cookbook : Allergy Free Desserts, its on the big shopping online store for $13.00-- sorry I'm not sure we are permitted to mention the big "A" online store on here...it does mention using xanthan gum but you can sub that with guar gum... sou are h... Guar Gum is not made from corn so maybe you could make some goodies using Guar gum instead of xanthan gum... Also I don't have hte sites today but I do know that there are several cookbooks for completely alleregy free things. One may be Cybele ( don't remeber her last name) & perhaps check out... -

Cream of Rice , Cream of Buckwheat...Bob's Red Mill Hot Cereal , Puffed rice.. Just a few that are gluten-free ... I add salba seeds to all cereals... do a google for Salba Seeds , they are very healthy... -

mineral oil is used as a laxative so that may be why you are feeling sick...But for sure Swedish Fish are gluten-free....I will repeat myself from other posts.. A new person on the gluten-free lifestyle should stay away from processed gluten-free foods , give you intestinal tract a chance to heal ..... -

You can find mineral oil at any drug store/Walmart .. It is in a bottle & just says mineral oil, very cheap. Years ago that is what they gave babies... But remeber it works much better with a not so full stomach... Once I get moving I do every other day ..with the miralx as once you get a routine &... -

Jumping in here late ! There is such a thing as chronic C....mineral oil or daily dosing of miralax will get things moving...It does take time. I was in hospital for 7 days for this problem. Two weeks & nothing so I understand.. Hospital tried everything except dynomite.......what I mentioned above worked finally... -
Lupin flour is from the legume family. It is approx. 30% protein.. No, it does not taste like a legume! But studies say some people who can not eat peanuts may not want to use this flour......I don't react to peanuts.... The debate is still on over this debate....

If you want a gluten-free pasta that looks, tastes, & feels like wheat pasta try Bi-Aglut from Italy...there are a couple of other brands that are over the top but nothing beats Bi-Aglut...... Soon green banana pasta will be making it way into our gluten-free world...

i LOVE the Kind Peanut Granola & I' m fairly sensitive & never had a problem. I believe this company is a safe company.... I think Udi's granola is good... I'm not crazy about bakery on the main products...but again safe.... remember that newly dx'd should not do oats for at least a year.......the intestinal... -

Most mainstream docs only check TSH for thyroid...So clearly ask for the other test ! And yes, your B-12 may be in the ranges but again you want to check the numbers & if it is below 800 ask for a monthly injection.until the level comes up & stays there... You can do B-12 caps but they don't always work for some...
