  1. try having the new doctor is town telling me that he knows very little about Celiac or DH. I know I have it..I have the clear fluid-ed pimple like things all over my chest and neck..I have it on my face and head...the mid to upper back is just little bumps..behind my knees it looks like I have mosquito bites..my elbow tips look like they are raw and cracked...

  5. I never had any psoriasis problems until getting sick about 4 years ago..going on the diet never did help. I use ointments to control it, but I cant get rid of it..on my back or my head. A lady who used to cut my hair said that she remembers a lot of people who she cut hair for that had Celiac also had psoriasis. Does anyone else have it? Or have any suggestions...
  6. I have this too..bras just seem to EAT the rash. I read up on DH.and it says that when you eat gluten, it inflames the rash..And that staying gluten-free helps control it..so it could be why we dont have it bad.. My rash goes from mid back all the way to my neck and part of my face. and the whole chest area. Its scabbing from me sratching so much. I was...
  7. I have poor sleep too. It takes me forever to fall asleep(at least an hour)..Some night I can sit up FOREVER..others I cant keep awake. During the day I am always tired, regardless of how much sleep I get. I dont think I've had more than 5 hours sleep in a while now..I toss and turn a lot. Oh, and quite a few times I've never thrown up in my sleep (THE MOST...
  8. I buy Lactaid Milk and Lactose Free Butter..I can only eat cheese if its baked on something, and even that it doesnt take much to affect me. Its a real pain going to someone else's place, out of town..You cant start carrying milk and butter around with you lol. I never bother with the lactaid pills. i dont think it'd be worth my trouble... ~lisa~
  9. yeah, I totally agree! For me, the local docs said celiac disease...the one specialist said nothing..the other specialist said IBS.. endoscopy=negative..colonoscopy=negative..bloodtest=negative. Self diagnosis was the only way I knew I had celiac disease. Plus, I was on the diet way before I had any tests done. Since all the tests check for your reaction...

  13. i've tested myself with everything imaginable almost, to see how much pain I feel and how long I suffer for depending on how much I ate..keep a log of it..so that when I do have my monthly cheat, I know what to stay away from..
  14. I know how stressful it is. I have to travel at least 35 minutes, usually I go to the cities that are 2 1/2 hours away or 3 1/2 hours away because they are less expensive than the place 35 minutes from here. I know a lot of times I say "screw it" and I eat something I shouldnt. Even when I know I'm gonna suffer. Because I'm only 20, I havent learned to...
  15. I have this problem..used to have a size 12 waist before I got sick last Jaunary, now have a size 5 waist..I dropped about 45 pounds, gained 20, now I've lost 10 again. I usually only eat when I FEEL like eating. Most of the time I have no appetite..It sucks Its also a real pain in the butt to hear people tell me how tiny I am.. ~lisa~
  16. I dont know about anyone else here, but I can tell you that even though the Kraft Canada lists says Cheez Whiz IS gluten-free, I still get sick from eating it. Does anyone else have this issue and/or have an answer to it? ~lisa~

  22. I dont know about you guys, but I am having trouble regaining weight. I went from 162(size 12 waist) to 118(size 5 waist)...back to 141, and now I'm down to about 130. The only way I gained was by getting fed up with the diet and eating little bits of stuff I wasnt supposed to. I started dropping weight again, even following my dieticians suggestion to eat...
  23. Thanks guys, I have a feeling there will be a lot more support here than I will find out there in person. And what I meant by still having all the symptoms even when I stick to the diet, I meant that I dont feel the pain from eating gluten, but I suffer from pretty much everything else. Its a real pain and I know I get really depressed too sometimes.....
  24. It's called La Messagere. 4.7% alcohol.. Made in Quebec. I got it at the local liquor board store...the company started selling out of Quebec just a couple months ago. Liek I said, it cost me a lot...$78 for 24 bottles..Probably depends how far away you live from the source..Hope it helps!
  25. I know that the Campbell's chicken broth in the jugs/boxes are fine, so I dont see why the tomato wouldnt be...But let us know!
