Raven's Mum's Achievements

  1. Interesting. Raven was actually having a couple of episodes that seemed ''panic attack'' like to me. She's been gluten free for three months now. I never considered it might be a gulten withdrawl. She's on so many meds, that's usually the first place I look. lol
  2. Such a good topic! As a mum to a celiac child, especially one with CF as well, it's hard for me to know when she might have been glutened, when it's her CF talking, or if something comepletely different wrong with her. It'd be nice if I could tell the difference, so if she is being glutened, I can make the necessary changes.
  3. I have some of my dogs on the Pacific Stream Formula. They do ok on it.
  4. Ugghh.... I hear ya. I'm the same way. I don't like buggin' people to go out of the way for our sake and even when we do, I still worry about the cross contamination. We've just decided that on the rare occasion that we do go out, that we'll bring something for my daughter. I'm waiting for some restraunt to have an issue with us bring ''outside food''...
  5. We are a vaccine free household, although the kids have been told if at anytime, they feel strongly about getting them, they can. We homeschool though so we have much more of a ''controlled environment'' than most people.
  6. I used to give Raven the Rhino FOS & Acidophilus for kids, but they have her on a prescription one now called Bacid.
  7. Nope. Raven does not have a high forehead! lol
  8. We are sushi addicts and are traumatized about not getting to go out for sushi. We use the Braggs brand gluten free soy sauce at home, but I'm worried about the wasabi and cross contamination in restraunts. One of the food services people at the Children's hospital was telling us we can get shushi ready fish in Vancouver so we might have to start makig out...
  9. I used to live in Kingston! I'm living in Surrey, B.C. now although it's my daughter that has celiac, not myself as far as I know.
  10. I totally agree. We went out to our friends house for Halloween, and not only did my friend cook a full on gluten free meal so Raven could have some dinner, even taking in mind that she had to buy some butter that wasn't contaminated, she also dug through her kids candy bag to trade with Raven so she could have more gluten free stuff. Where some people leave...
  11. Raven gets bloodwork every few months during her CF clinic visits. I'm assuming she should be ok unless they see something she's difficient in in her bloodwork???
  12. You just gotta find yourself a gothic chick!
  13. Sigh.... I so feel for everyone and their struggles. It hits too close to home, no doubt. I don't have celiac myself. My six year old daughter Raven does, as well as Cystic Fibrosis. She's had a hell of a struggle, spent her first eight months in hospital, multiple surgeries, came home on a feeding tube, in and out of hospital multiple times a year and...
  14. Hmmmmm....... Raven's taking this. The pharmacy has checked all her meds to make sure they are gulten free up to this point. I guess I should be checking it, or getting them to check eat time I refill a precrpicption.
  15. Raven's had on going issues with constipation and bowel blockages. Of course she has CF as well so she's kinda doubley ''bunged up''. She was on the Mirilax for awhile, too. She LOVES prune juice so I always try to have some on hand. This is something I can't use with Raven because of her CF but I've had great luck with it with dogs and my son. It's Slippery...
