    ARCHIVED Dh Pics

It looks a lot like mine. I also have some psoriasis and eczema mixed in behind the knees, back of calves and fanny. I had it on my neck and in scalp like yours but it is clearing up there, as well as ankles, leaving some reddish purple scars in its wake.
  2. I am really mad sometimes, especially at the food industry, sneaking gluten into every nook and cranny, where it is not a necessary ingredient, but a cheap a** filler. I already try to eat organic, fresh, preservative free when I can. Looking for gluten-free has made me notice and further question all of the preservatives, MSG and crap in the food supply...
  3. Happy birthday and may God bless you today!

  4. There is plenty of info on the Internet about using Vinegar, baking soda, lemon juice, peroxide, and other safer cleaners. I was not saying to use vinegar and baking soda together . It does make a decent drain cleaner together, as well as scrub. There are safer green cleaners at Whole Foods, Trader Joes and even the Super Markets. Open...
  5. Cascade may be gluten free, but it has very harsh chemicals in it. It makes me sick as a dog, as does all chlorine bleach type products. The steam and hot water from the dishwashing process puts this chemical all over your house. I would get a safer cleaner without bleach type chemicals. Try using safer cleaners such as baking soda and vinegar. ...
  6. Make sure you are not anemic, get tested. I was unbelievably tired with a few rashes and fibroids and that is why I went to the Dr. They wanted me to get blood transfusion at the ER. I take iron. You have to repeat this test every so often Evidently many C and DH are very anemic. With the increasing skin rashes, I have become a total insomniac....
  7. I feel bad for you, and I have that crazy itch too. Definitely get off the gluten, why prolong the misery if it might help. As for the Dr - you might have secondary issues with DH like Eczema, Ipetigo, or Staph. Keep very clean, but no scrubbing. It is aggravating when the DRs say you just have dry skin. My skin is not that dry except where the...
  8. I tried those anti itch products, as well as SARNA, gold bond, zinc creams, anibiotics, as a matter of fact I have about 50 different products, lotions to deal with this. I might try that pramoxine chemical again. I think I react to lanolin, petroleum and many common ingredients in topical products. Right now I find a bath soak with baking soda and...
  9. Mine from 2 years ago diagnosed as everything under the sun, but DH. Nothing has helped my skin. I am willing to start over with a new doctor.
  10. I am in your boat and have been gluten free for a short time (less than 2 weeks). My rash got better and then it has flared up again. Before I was diagnosed by Derm and Eczema, Psoriasis, possible scabies, stress, the usual. I refused to do oral prednisone after researching. The cortisone creams, prescription and weaker OTC really thinned my skin...
  11. I suspect I have DH and have only been gluten free for about 12 days. I have a terrible body rash that has not gone away with any treatment for 2.5 years. I had already started digestive enzymes and probiotics (good brand recommendations welcome). I take some vitamins. I am also beginning to treat for candida and parasites. I have ready that all...
  12. Don't most people and animals have parasites anyway? I have been reading about parasites and yeast causing eczema, dh and psoriasis. I wish they would jump start the research on this disease and its causes.
  13. What about medical marijuana that is prescribed for some serious illnesses, and is legal. Is it gluten free?
  14. I can't afford brand name so I use Kroger brand syrup, but I don't know if it is gluten free
  15. I have had a rash for 2.5 years. It has not responded to much. M.D. treated for possible scabies (I have a small dog) and that did no good. Derm diagnosed as dry skin and biopsied as Eczema/Psoriasis on the scalp. This rash has not responded to steroid topicals, lotions, etc. Topicals seem to aggravate it. Best relief is from baking soda, sea salt baths...
