  1. I'm here. Been busy cuz it's delivery day, but everything is stowed now. Good news about Judy. Welcome back, Rachelle.
  2. Coca-cola products in Canada and the USA are gluten-free. The caramel colour (color) is made from corn. The same is true of the beverages made by Pepsi.
  3. Welcome to our community. You will find lots of answers and support here. There are a number of folks here who can help with being at college with celiac disease. I was diagnosed at age 46, so I don't have any relevant personal experience.
  4. Have a good one, Lisa!
  5. Yeah, but you know we love you for it.
  6. Susan, this is Sillyville, but I am not being silly right now. Please do not do this. PLEASE. You may not be feeling well right now, but you will be *worse* if you start consuming gluten. I am here if you want to talk.

    ARCHIVED Dr. Kenneth Fine (enterolab)

Spruster, I think you have made your point. You have more posts in this thread than any other contributor, yet your recent ones are just repeating the same point. If you have anything new to add, please do, otherwise let's move on.
  8. None of those listed ingredients raise a concern to me. The label is obviously made for the US market, so it should conform to FDA rules. Under those rules, the ingredients are gluten-free.
  9. Oyez! Oyez! Oyez! Royal congratulations to curly Lisa on her new status as grandmother.
  10. We use it and love it. It is flushable, too.
  11. There are worse things than inebriation, you know. Sobriety is at the top of my list. So, at the store this afternoon, after unloading the truck, we are a bit tired mentally and physically. Her majesty is on Phacebook and sees a phunny video linked by one of her phriends. It is not on my page, because her phriend of a phriend is not also my phriend...
  12. My experience here in Canada in over nine years of being gluten-free has been that gluten in medicine is not common at all. The binder used in tablets has all but invariably turned out to be corn starch or cellulose, both of which are gluten-free. I always check when using a new medicine for the first time, and in over nine years I have never had to reject...
  13. I, too, must bid you adieu for tonight. It will be a busy morning tomorrow. The jewels and scepter remain somewhat tarnished tonight. There was no polishing of the royal assets.
  14. Yes, indeed, it is that time again in Sillyville.
  15. Hi, Thomas, and welcome to celiac.com! Your symptoms are consistent with celiac disease, but that is not the only possibility. It is also possible that you have celiac disease and one or more other conditions. If you have been an undiagnosed celiac for a long time, it will take some time for your body to heal. I had severe symptoms for five years. I...
  16. Well, the summer that never was has come to a semi-official end here in Unionville. Today started with bright sunshine which has now turned into complete overcast. The forecast is rain for the next five days starting this evening, so.... We took down and stored the deck furniture for the season, and shut down and covered the air conditioner. This will...
  17. Not everyone who is gluten intolerant has celiac disease. Also, there is some debate about exactly which genes are associated with celiac disease. I understand that in Europe there are some genetic factors that are considered to be associated with celiac disease that North American medicine does not (yet) recognize. Your response to the diet is your best...
  18. They are being honest. Even though they make their best efforts, and disclose any CC risk in their facility, they have no control over the companies that supply their ingredients. There is never an honest guarantee against cross contamination in any manufacturing facility. Ingredients come from sources where they may have come into contact with gluten...
  19. Most on this board won't understand this post in a foreign language. I think I can pick up the sense of the message being that you are traveling to Los Angeles in January and are looking for a place to buy bread.
  20. Most people on this board won't understand your question because it is not in English. I believe that you asking where you can buy gluten-free bread, but I'm only picking up some words from what I think is Swedish, the language of some of my ancestors.
  21. Well, once again I have missed the Big Show from Oahu. Got into the store about a quarter to twelve, got the laptop set up, tried to connect to the beach camera about five to, and it would not load and Firefox crashed. Tried again, and Firefox did an encore performance. Tried to restart Windows, but it hung and did not shut down. Phinally pressed and held...
  22. In over nine years since being diagnosed as having celiac disease, I have heard over and over about the danger of medicines containing gluten. So, I check whenever I have a prescription filled, but I have never actually found one that contains gluten. If anyone has a specific instance, please post the actual name of the drug and the manufacturer that includes...
