  1. I went back to the start of the thread, and read forward, while making marks on a sheet of paper as to who was posting. I used a lot of paper, and it took a looooong time. Not! In the index, where you can see the thread name, the number of views, and the number of replies, click on the number of replies. A window will open showing the post counts by member...
  2. Probably, but you're so close to curly Lisa that it would be hard to tell. Nikki being in the picture pulls the averages way off.
  3. For me, it was like this. Due to prolonged malabsorption during my pre-diagnosis period, I had lost about 75 pounds. I was emaciated, as my wife described it, "just skin and bones." My ribs were clearly visible front and back. Once my villi started to heal, I began absorbing nutrients again. Even if you are eating less on the gluten-free diet, you will...
  4. Good evening! I have psome psilly thoughts for Psunday evening. Why do we drive on a parkway, and park on a driveway? Why do people talk about their "PIN number" for the "ATM machine"? Don't they know what the initials stand for? And, "tuna fish," come on people. What was the greatest thing before sliced bread? And who is...
  5. Ask away; we're here to help.
  6. We used that particular bread because we had it. You could probably use another bread. The GFP french bread is quite light, so a more typical gluten-free bread would probably need less than 15 minutes in the oven. Twas a heavy overcast last night, but, of course, this morning the sun is shining and no a cloud in the sky. Go, Wildcats!
  7. Hi, and welcome to the board. It will take time for your body to heal. The symptoms will reduce over time if you stay on the diet. For me, it was six weeks before I really felt better, and three months before I was was completely free of symptoms. Until then, you may still have a gastric reaction to food, even if there is nothing in the food that is problematic...
  8. If you look at the upper left of the screen while you are composing your message, there will be a collection of emoticons offered. If you don't see the one you want, click on "Show All" and a window will pop up with all of them. In either case, click on the emoticon you want, and it will be inserted into the message at the current cursor location. If you...
  9. The crouton story begins a while back. We bought some pre-made croutons by the Gluten Free Pantry in October and liked them, but felt that they were a bit on the expensive side. We have been buying Glutino products at a large chain grocery store for a couple of years (we used to get them online). We don't like that store for most things, and only buy things...
  10. Click here to see the croutons. They turned out pretty well, but the garlic isn't as strong as we had hoped for. We think we know how to fix that next time. The true proof will be in the salad at dinner in a little while. Sadly, I am not getting mooned, but Emily is.
  11. Okay, maybe I did oversell it a bit, but, Jess, we're so pleased that you have joined us.
  12. Okay, forget about the croutons for a moment. They're cooling in the kitchen. I am so disappointed. The phantastic phullest moon of the year is tonight, the sun set forty minutes ago, and it is OVERCAST!. Phooey.
  13. Wednesday. Oooh, poor Susie. We're going to try to make some croutons. Never made our own before, so wish us luck.
  14. A full moon in Sillyville! Where's Karen?
  15. Good morning, pholks! I think I'll stay indoors this fine morning, as it is a bit chilly outside (-14C). We're taking the weekend off work. Hmm, that means catching up on household chores.
  16. Not just a dedicated line, but the entire plant is gluten-free. I have met the owner and president, Steven Singer (ssinger at glutino.com), and he is dedicated to serving us, and to getting his products into mainstream grocery stores. I don't know the answer, but if those products don't agree with you, then don't eat them.
  17. At least in the context of dogs, I can tell you that dogs that have fur shed, but dogs with hair do not. Poodles have hair, and this is the reason for all these fashionable designer cross-breed dogs where one parent is a poodle. The objective is to have a mixed breed dog with the body and disposition of breed X, and the coat of a poodle which does not shed...
  18. We have been using many Glutino products for years now, and I never have had a problem with any of them.
  19. Good afternoon, psillies. Got a bunch of snow here overnight. We had one of our staff open this morning (planned well in advance) so we arrived around noon, all of the shoveling had already been done.
  20. Well, I guess that would be better than vulva dealerships (old topic way back--Em will remember). ABBA CDs are something that I think I probably have all you can have. I am a big ABBA fan from way back, and still enjoy their music very much.
  21. Add one more to that list. Hi, Carla!
  22. Yes!! Karen, it is great to see you!
  23. Good morning, psillies! It is a bright, sunny day here in Toronto.
  24. My understanding is that there is compatibility when there are no factors in the donor blood which are not in the recipient's. That makes O- a universal donor, while AB+ is a universal recipient. I am aware that there are other factors which enter into the matching in situations more complex than transfusions, such as transplants. But that is my understanding...
