  1. Wow, another forum like ours. Kati, are you a member of that one, too? Are a lot of our members also on Delphi? I subscribed just now.
  2. Migraine sufferers: there is hope! I called Pfizer today: Relpax IS gluten free. And, I personally have used it twice and NO reaction. So, go for it! Thank God!!!! PS How do we get it added to glutenfreedrugs.com and the Delphi list? By the way, what is the website for the Delphi list?
  3. I will call tomorrow morning. It's hard to tell if I'm reacting b/c I'm already sick with this migraine.
  4. Anyone know? It's not on glutenfreedrugs.com. Imitrex is similar and is gluten-free. I took Relpax about an hour ago and have not had any reaction, but I know there is a more comprehensive link someone here had...care to help or post it again? I printed it all out but can't find it!
  5. hi guys, I need to see a neurologist. I don't have the same symptoms as you, but I have tremors, a feeling of weakness and shakiness all over, nausea, and a bit of dizziness. They've tested my blood for thyroid, diabetes, cortisol levels, etc. All are normal. I have no clue what this means but I am so tired of it!
  6. Foothills? Where do you live? I live in Arizona and we have foothills here, too. You and I could be identical twins. My husband is the SAME way. He is so wonderful and takes care of me when I don't feel well. Your test will be fine! If I can make it through a colonoscopy and I am a HUGE baby and emet, you can make it through, too. I promise when you get...
  7. Darby, I don't know why I still get nausea. That's what I've been trying to figure out. I am taking Prevacid because my doctor thought it might be acid reflux. I don't think I have hypoglycemia b/c eating sugar doesn't alleviate it. They've checked my thyroid, I don't have diabetes and have checked regular blood work in general. They have no clue what...
  8. Kati, where do you get this spray? I've got to get some. And of course it must be gluten-free if you use it! Darby, I still get nausea for no reason at all. Of course, I've only been gluten-free for 4 months, but i still get it all the time. The stomach cramps and bloating I used to have pre diagnosis, though, are now gone. Overall I feel much better.
  9. Oh you are lucky! My doc won't give my anything-she said to take over the counter if I feel sick. It is frustrating. My friend at work has Zofran but it is so expensive that she only gets a little at a time.
  10. OMIGOD Darby I am JUST like you! When someone comes into work that way I don't even breath around them!!! I keep hand sanitizer in my purse, car, and on my desk!! LOL it is SO amazing to meet someone else like this!!! I've been on emet boards but I don't go too often because it makes me feel worse about myself!!! Like i am some kind of freak, so I stay away...
  11. hi Stef, Emetephobia is the fear of throwing up. I have that plus the fear of hearing/seeing others throw up. Mine stems from a traumatic childhood experience. My doctor says I have post traumatic stress disorder. It can be very bad. Some people don't even go out because of it. I'm not like that but I do panic sometimes when I feel sick or when I'm in...
  12. Darby, I, too, have emetephobia and I had a colonoscopy in December. That is worse than endoscopy b/c you have to drink an entire bottle of laxatives and a lot of people throw up from it. As you can imagine, I was panicked about that. It wasn't pretty but I didn't get sick. At least with the upper endoscopy you will not have to prepare in that way-so don...
  13. I'm sorry I can't answer your questions but welcome to the board and feel free to vent, ask for advice or give advice as freely as you wish! Sorry to hear about your relationship....that can be devastating. jennifer
  14. One of our guidance counselors and I were talking yesterday and she said the 504 is good for any child whose problem is not widely recognized or respected. For example, she said ADHD is NOT a protected class under the IEP laws. So, they do 504's while they are trying to get that changed. Celiac would also be good for this. I am all for the 504 plan with...
  15. It seems to me that someone asymptomatic would be more likely to cheat. Most of us find severe diarrhea, vomiting, headaches, dizziness, etc, etc very unpleasant, as do most people. But people who don't get sick when they eat wheat even though they have celiac disease would be much more likely to cheat b/c they don't feel what is happening to them. I...
  16. I also still have IBS symptoms, even after going gluten-free. I just think I have stomach problems that will never entirely go away. I tried Bently as an anti-spasmodic because of my pain and diarrhea but it just made me constipated. I also had a normal colonoscopy but have the same issues as you. I think I need to go off sugar entirely. The sugar I eat...
  17. Is all of TCBY yogurt gluten-free?
  18. Their ice cream is gluten-free according to their website, except for one kind. And of course you can't eat the cookie mix ins, etc. What I want to know is how many of you that have Coldstone eat their ice cream and if you've ever had cross contamination problems? I'd love to get back to eating it again!
  19. If you show your family how serious YOU are about it, they will come through for you. At first my family was like, let's go out to eat. I said, No I don't eat out, too much risk of cross contamination and I don't feel like spending an hour trying to explain to the waiter. I said, let's BBQ instead and went out and bought my own food. Now they don't even...
  20. I take Immodium when I have diarrhea and it is a God send. As long as I don't take too much it doesn't make me constipated.

    ARCHIVED Starbucks

has anyone had a problem with cross contamination there? If not I will be so happy because I love Starbucks. my favorite is the vanilla latte and at Christmas, the eggnog latte. and of course toffee nut latte.
  22. I know we can have white wine...what about blush? We can't have red, right? Does anyone know how wine works?
  23. Has anyone here actually tried Rice Dream ice cream? Just wondering before I eat it.
  24. I had positive blood work for ONE of the 3 tests. No biopsy was performed. Doesn't this mean I am NOT diagnosed as a Celiac? I am going to be getting private insurance soon and I want to make sure I have my facts correct. I thought until you have biospy results you are not considered diagnosed. Plus, only one of my tests came back abnormal, not all 3. What...
