  1. Be happy you didn't! Seriously, it's the bigger thing to do. You say he looked at you and knew who you were but said nothing? Obviously that's not being the bigger person. So be pleased with yourself that you are. Being positive is a gooood thing, trust me!
  2. You did the right thing. That's VERY big of you to not do that. I understand what you mean by that. My doctor almost KILLED me when I was younger. I know exactly how you feel, but stuff like that never helps. You would've been kicked out, blahblahblah and it wouldn't have made you feel better. All you have to do is just shove it off to the side. I...
  3. @Kayo I dunno. I guess it's just laziness. She eats *SO* much, so I have to keep filling up her bowl. Bah, it was stupid. I wasn't thinking. I worry about MY food all the time that I didn't think to worry about HER food too. And yeah, I know what you mean. I'm left-handed so I do the exact same stuff, just opposite. [: @i-geek This is just so weird...
  4. I've been diagnosed for a year, but only been steadily on the diet for 6 weeks. (Been on it for longer periods of time before, but I always cheated... never again!... on purpose, ugh). Can't cancel though. =/ So it's gonna be hellish. D: She'll be here in about 2 hours... bah. )=
  5. I really don't know if I have any other intolerances or not. I THINK soy might be one. I really can't afford to go to the doctor's either to be checked. But, I'm going to do what you do. Prepare my food elsewhere. That's a good idea. I can do it at my computer desk in my room. Thank you for that idea. That'll help, I'm sure. Think I should just take out...
  6. I'm sorry to make another thread. ): Just. I keep getting glutened. CC. Breathing in flour on accident. Finding out my cat's food has gluten in it (got her a handful of food and just wiped my hand off on my pants. Wiped my mouth because of a tickle a few minutes later). Ugh. I'm sick. Starting to get better and just be sapped of energy, but then I get glutened...
  7. Yeah, I agree. That yogurt is fantastic. You have to try the milk. It's sorta pricey... I think it was almost $5.00 for a half-gal, but it's oh-so-good.
  8. I love almond milk. I don't like rice milk as much... ahhh. Soy milk was my saving grace. I like coconut milk, but soy is soooo good. Haha. I guess I will try it to remove it. Thank you.
  9. So I was diagnosed with Celiac disease about a year ago. I was stupid for the year and just about 6 months ago actually started staying gluten-free with no cheating. But over the past couple days I've been glutened, but I also have been drinking a lot of soy milk. I absolutely LOVE soy. However it seems, that my stomach has been hurting in a way that isn...
  10. Can't really concentrate on reading all the posts so I don't know if anyone suggested it, but there's always coconut milk. So Delicious I think the brand is? I'm not sure, can't remember. All I know is that the plain is pretty darn good! Vanilla is too sweet for my tastes. [: It's quite good with cereal too.
  11. That's is interesting. I loved the Cheesecake Factory. I just hope they take proper precautions while preparing the meals. Who knows when it's new. I probably wouldn't eat there for a few months after they first started... haha.
  12. You know, I really do love this forum. It's helped me a lotttt. I don't know ANYONE with Celiac disease, and for the most part everyone around me (except two of my friends, who don't understand as much as I do, but at least believe me when I say I'm sick and about withdrawals and whatnot) either doesn't understand what I have or they don't believe it. For...
  13. Sometimes, seaweed can be "seasoned" with soy sauce, depending on the brand/where they get it. I do not trust sushi places. I LOVE sushi, but I dunno if I'll ever have it again. Wayyyy too paranoid about CC.
  14. "Chicken fingers, fries, and junk." And that is the one reason why I am actually GLAD I was diagnosed celiac. It gave me an excuse to eat HEALTHY. While I still do like french fries from Red Robin from time to time, I eat SO much healthier now... I love it! Oh, I feel so good eating a salad or something along those lines when I see people eating greasy...
  15. Germ-x hand sanitizer is gluten free too, and it smells FANTASTIC.
  16. Meats, vegetables... I mean, you can live off of that for a month, right? Plus, it seems as if everyone is saying they're more advanced in the whole gluten-free-area than the US is. GOGOGO. DEFINITELY GO. Do NOT pass up an option to see the world, you will REGRET IT FOREVERRRRR. Seriously. That's something everyone wants to do, and if you have the option...
  17. Ugh. I've been glutened 3 times this week due to cross contamination in my kitchen. So it's been non-stop brain fuzz and being bed ridden. But, for about a year I've been on-and-off gluten free dieting (been at it for about 6 weeks now... even though I've been glutened 3 times this week), and the longest was about 3 weeks for me.
  18. Go to Red Robin for the french fries. You can even check McDonalds to see if they have a dedicated fryer. If they do then they're gluten-free too. I prefer Red Robin, but yeah. Just make sure you say no seasoning salt. Just regular table salt. (=
  19. There's another one in... Bellevue I believe? And Kirkland. Both of them are sit down I think. They have gluten free too. The Bellueve one (I'm pretty sure it was Bellevue...) was where I went to, and we ate in. The crust is FANTASTIC. I absolutely LOVE their pizza... it's amazingggg. Never had any problems from their gluten-free pizza.
  20. I live sort of near you! I live in Kirkland. [: We could easily meet up for coffee some time if you'd like. Either that or just chat online. [: But I've been diagnosed for nearly a year, I just haven't held to the diet until recently, so I definitely know what you're going through. Oh, I am moving to Georgia soon, so... if you do want to meet up it...
  21. This would actually help me out a bit too. My sister might be moving there, and if I ever fly up to see her that would definitely be nice to know. [:
  22. I'm definitely looking into those things... thank you! When you DO taste the sour cream though, could you let me know please? I absolutely LOVE sour cream and I cannot go dairy free completely until I figure a way to get that. I don't even care if it's as good or not. I just want something like it... haha. I wonder if Whole Foods has that? I'll check. And...
  23. Tim Horton (Timmy's <3 ) has THE BEST COFFEE IN THE WORLD. Whenever I would go to Toronto I would ALWAYSSS go there. Haha... But me, now, the main thing I crave (lol get it?) is White Castle... I have no idea. I LOVE those cheeseburgers for some reason... I usually hate fatty foods, but I just LOVE them. Sorta sad I'll never taste that unique flavor...
  24. I for one am feeling terrible... I just got glutened yesterday!! Ahhhh. I can barely stand... no energy! Feel better today than yesterday though. But I'm glad you're feeling good. (= Woohoo, go school being out soon! [:
  25. I know there's a dairy free one, made by Tofutti, but they're not 100% sure about it being gluten-free or not... and I really can't have ANY gluten. I'm also trying to stay dairy free but I absolutely LOVE sour cream... Does anyone know of a company that makes this? And possibly a good dairy free cheese-like product for nachos?
