  1. My cousin, who has celiac as well, has recently moved and his wife got a job in the bakery in wal*mart.... I am curious to know if she might be able to bring airborne wheat home with her? I know she's being very careful to try and keep a gluten-free home but I thought I'd see if anyone had any ideas... We are both very new to this and since he's recently...
  2. So far Wal*Mart has been really good, My own doctor is an idiot so I can't look to him to help me with this
  3. When I informed Walgreens I have an allergy to penicillin and have celiac they brushed me off and didn't seem to notice. We've had LOTS of problems with our local walgreens so we just made the switch to wal*mart. They are much nicer they and way more helpful...
  4. My little sister's schools only celebrate birthday's once a month...You might be able to suggest this at your school? It's a great way to celebrate and it would help you out greatly Just a thought...

  6. So far my church hasn't made any changes...our elders board has been 'looking' into it for months now. So I decided just to bring a piece of a gluten-free cracker for my communion each week. (My only problem now is NOT eating the crackers now! They are very tasty) Any brand names for gluten-free communion out there?

    ARCHIVED Should I Even Bother?

    I'm kind of in the same boat...my doctor won't do the tests for me because they are expensive and he says they aren't conclusive. He was just like "You have celiac...eat rice" he still knows nothing. But I feel SO much better off gluten I don't even want to have the tests because I don't even WANT to eat that junk anymore. I've considored getting the tests...
  9. So I'm new to this, and I don't think I ever had DH before but since my last glutening I've got this really itchy spot on the back on my leg but I don't know what to look for.... Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
  10. I know I have to make for sure any lotions, shampoo, and handwash are gluten-free because I still have the very bad habit of biting my nails....So my hands are always in my mouth
  11. Thanks! This explains why I seem to really need water whenever I get glutened. Plus I always want steak....
  12. I'm fairly new at this ( I've only known for 8 months ) but I've been very good about sticking to the diet as I'm super sensitive. But today I got some food that must have been cross contaminated... Any tips for a quick recovery? Right now I feel like crud

  14. I'm 19 and I have chosen only to tell close friends and of course family... If I were your daughter I'd be very upset as not only did her teacher break a bond of trust what she did was just plan out mean.... I would want her fired
