  1. Two things I forgot to mention. What I brought back, she said, "well this is honey chicken, not the gluten-free chicken that you ordered" (from my receipt) and I said well then I can't eat that either. Why argue with me? Also, she brought it out without the gluten-free sticker and goes, 'guess ya don't need a sticker now' I'm so disappointed...
  2. Maybe it's the sugar. Something in it doesn't agree with me. But..... But that PB makes me dizzy is all I know. It's my own private jar at work. I stick celery sticks in it all the time, but that's it. My mom gets that peanut butter that they grind right in front of you and she gets it UNSALTED! SICKENING! She has always been VERY...
  3. I agree with Skylark and Manna. I don't have any tact.
  4. We all ordered PF Changs at work today. 17 orders, ok, I know people are human, etc., but my friend came back with all the food and I see no gluten-free orange stickers. Nothing in there looked like what I get. So I took what no one else took, it looked like the chicken that I usually get, I go over there and I go "this doesn't say gluten-free" and...
  5. It's working fine for me. But I will say, it's REALLY jumpin today! Lots going on! And I'm not on my own computer. On mine, everything goes slow.
  6. Well, I have decided to quit playing games with myself and surrender to this gluten thing. And it's amazing how I notice so quickly now what's going on with my body and mind. so, here's some good advise: do not eat Peter Pan Honey Roast peanut butter. No matter HOW much you love it.
  7. I go to my regular market and go to the regular salad dressings and go to Wishbone. Most of theirs are gluten-free and state so on the bottle, lots of different flavors. And it's CHEAP! I can almost drink that stuff, and have been known to!
  8. First off, I found somthing yummy. gluten-free S'moreables Graham Crackers by Kinnikinnick ( that name always reminds me of Kinnicky from Grease). I put peanut butter on them and they are....drum roll.... SOFT! Ok, so my daughter went to the market. I made a list of specifics. She brought back Campbell's Soup and cookie dough ice cream. I didn't...
  9. I can't eat the gluten-free chex. Others on here can't either, and they say GLUTEN FREE all over the boxes, but.......notsomuch.
  10. OMG! I was just coming on here to ask about mexican - me and my girlfriends from high school get together all the time and there's one of them that - we've just NEVER gotten on. Still don't. But we try really hard. Anyway, we're planning something and have this email going between all of us and they started off with Mexican then they all went on about...
  11. Breakfast has become an issue for me because I've eaten Lipton extra noodle soup in a box for years. I guess I'll make some homemade chicken and rice soup for breakfast to take to work. I don't like sweets for breakfast, or not any other much, either. On the weekends, I've been making hambuger mixed up with scrambled eggs. I was raised on that, love...
  12. I have decided that I'm going to start making all my own food. I'm tired of spending money on things that make me sick. I can boil a live chicken, well, ok, a dead chicken, eat that chicken, make chicken salad, make soup with the broth, put some brown rice and carrots, etc., in there. I figure I will save a lot of money and know exactly what I'm eating...
  13. Let's say you have some food that you figure is safe in front of you. Let's say you start eating it. What happens that lets you know it's gluten? How soon does it happen? Immediately? 24 hours later? thank you
  14. thank you all. I read the link. I'm going to sign up!
  15. What is a RAST test? Is this different than the skin scratch tests?
  16. I eat there so much they sent me a PF Changs card so now I get 10% off of everything I eat. The one I go to is VERY gluten knowledgable. I eat their gluten-free fried rice, the singapore noodles and lettuce wraps all the time and I never have had a reaction. I always get it to go and they put big orange stickers on everything that says gluten-free...
  17. ...um..... What exactly is "brain fog"? What does it feel like?
  18. If you look around on this board you'll see the exact same post from me and a few others. My first few days of gluten-free were wonderful. I ate no gluten, and started to feel bad again, so I said, "ok, everyone's fulla beans and it's not gluten".....I've been going back and forth like this for, well, I;m not gonna tell you for how long. I too, used...
  19. And what about menopause? I was just scootin along, had regular periods and one month they just stopped. Not a little here a little there, they just stopped. Weird. My hormone level that I got tested said it should be between 3 - 22. Mine was 3. My doctor doesn't do HRT, says too much risk. I tried to find some natural thing, but I figure I have...
  20. I freak out like a banchee in a hurricane when I eat gluten.
  21. I seriously asked this question because the GI issues, which I read so much about on this board, I don't have 'em.....which was leading me to believe it might not be gluten. I just posted another post, the good the bad and the sister which incldues some other insights into the confusion that is me LOL
  22. Ok, I just ate Campbell's Chicken and Rice soup, thought I was starting a mini panic attack, although it didn't really feel THAT extreme, took half a valium, now I have a dry mouth, extremely thirsty, dizzy, don't feel like getting up and walking and have a headache. I feel slightly glutened, not full blown, but glutened just the same. I read the label...
  23. I work for the largest insurance company in the country. So, I will have to be careful here.... The whole thing is a MESS and I think it's going to get messier with the reform, at least for the first 5 years of it. I think the President and others have good intentions. Before I worked at the insurance company, I worked for a doctor for years, so...
  24. Yes, that is exactly what I mean. I never have a GI reaction. We're still trying to figure me out! I get dizzy and panicky, but I've never had GI reaction, which makes me think it's not gluten. Anyone else?
  25. I know sometimes some people have neuro responses, but my question is: Is there anyone on this board who does NOT have ANY GI reactions, but other things, with NO GI reactions? thanks!
