  2. Pulled muscles in my already extremely pained back. In bed. Not cooking. Husband is roasting some chicken and then will slather with my homemade barbecue sauce. Think he'll probably do baked potatoes and possibly peas or corn. Am supposed to be making my family Christmas dinner Sunday!!!!!! Not at this rate...
  3. Bison ROCKS! I love it. So very, very happy for you. What a blessing. Little would this lady know how much this has touched you which has in turn touched us. Just gives you the warm fuzzies!
  4. My boy of choice is Colin Firth. I saw him first!
  5. I buy sumac at a middle Eastern store. Adore it. Make my own blends but McCormick's just came out with piri piri.
  6. Which two? You've piqued my interest.

  8. IH, unsurprisingly you cracked the code.
  9. Only about a million milling around my noggin. Are they boneless and/or skinless or naked?
  10. Those cookies sound lovely. I haven't made any because of my...er...lack of willpower in that department. But I will be making Brazilian truffles and Fruit Pâtes - unsure of the flavour. Probably raspberry or apricot. http://www.foodandwine.com/recipes/raspberry-pate-de-fruit
  11. Hmmmm...wonder what we'll do? Oh, I know. Hot apple cider.
  12. Baby greens with toasted almonds and tomato pomegranate molasses vinaigrette.
  13. I would LOVE it if you did! We could cook up such a storm we wouldn't even notice the cold and snow!
  14. It is a mess. A glorious one. I'm making it this weekend with blackberries and pink peppercorns.
  15. You certainly will have to shovel. The snow is fairly...uh...deep. The poor boys - I'm trying my best to keep them warm with lovely vittles but they are growing restless. Why, oh why did I not do a multi-quote rather than respond to about 983,671 posts individually?
  16. Yes! You are all invited. The weather there is slightly warmer than it is here (right now -21C plus windchill which is -30C).
  17. You really are too kind. No, really!
  18. Me, too. We rarely go to the U.S., though, but maybe should reconsider.
  19. I just did something dumb. I wanted to edit my post and hit "Reply" instead. Oops-a-daisy!
  20. We rarely eat out because I seriously can cook as well as most high-end places (excluding those such as Per Se, French Laundry, NOMA, etc.). Game is so wonderful to cook. We enjoy elk, caribou, moose, venison, quail, pheasant, wild boar, etc. And I completely understand what you are saying about humanely-raised meat/poultry as opposed to factory farmed...
  21. Zabaglione (Italian) - so simple to make! Open Original Shared Link Chocolate Pots de Creme - I made these the other day again and they are amazing. Recipe uses 9 yolks. Open Original Shared Link
  22. Now THIS is the type of food I love to cook. Sounds yummy. I love venison!
  23. Eggs Benedict and dill pickles
  24. Vicyssoise soup Crisy lime and sriracha roasted chickpeas Brandy deviled eggs Homemade buns
