  2. I get geographic tongue. It sometimes hurt and causes a weird feeling in my mouth. Seems to be worse when I gluten by mistake. Your tongue can act up for all kinds of reasons. Dehydration, stress, certain foods, allergies, illness etc...for me, it was one thing on a LONG list of systems related to celiac disease.

  4. Hello, Is rice milk dairy free? Seems like a stupid question to me also, but before I get sick....I'm gluten free and dairy free at this point. The brand is HEB organics and it reads Gluten free on the box. Thanks!
  5. Hello! Think I was glutened last night. Ate at a friends house, well you know how that goes.....anyway, I didn't have any stomach issues like normal. This time I'm a dizzy mess.   6. I have really bad constipation and large stools. The best thing I found is two large navel oranges every morning. I normallly just juice them and drink it. I've read it has something in it that helps move things along...hope that helps!

  14. I was told by an allergist that it may not. She said she had tested blood for people and results were neg. Later she did the skin test and they had a severe reaction. I think if you never eat it or never have, you don't have the antibodies in your blood to show up on a blood test...just my thoughts. I know this is true for me. I had the peanut blood...

  17. Yes. Last time I had a facial I told the person I'm allergic to wheat...figured she'd get that better than gluten. She checked every lable of every product she used and adjusted as needed. I also asked to her to make sure to keep all products a good way from my mouth.
  18. I was eating Amy's frozen meals and soups a lot. Although I didn't notice a bad gluten reaction, I started to go down in weight again. I stopped eating that stuff and stuck to fresh fruit, veggies, and protein...weight came back on. I've read somewhere that even "gluten free" foods are allowed to contain a certain tracable amount of gluten. I'm not sure...

  21. Hello! My husband and I are going to PCB this summer for a little R&R. I love the fresh seafood but of course I'm really gun shy about eating out so much. It would be aweful to be sick the whole time. Anybody been there recently that can help me out? I saw some old post about PCB from '04. I know so much has changed. Thanks so much!
  22. Same thing with me...my PMS is out of control if I got glutened the weeks leading up to it. My period is pretty bad if I get glutened as well. Much worse than normal.
  23. I had extreme fatigue before I went gluten free. I couldn't stay awake past 8-8:30 and no matter how much sleep I got, I was tired all the time and had a hard time getting out of bed. Within a week of getting rid of the gluten, my energy came back full force.
